Senior Product Design Engineer

Job Summary

Join an innovative team building an AI-first jewelry shopping platform that is redefining how customers explore and purchase jewelry online. This role offers the unique opportunity to shape the product experience from the ground up by working at the intersection of design, engineering, artificial intelligence (AI), and e-commerce. As a Senior Product Design Engineer, you will combine strong UI/UX design capabilities with hands-on frontend development expertise to create immersive, user-centric product experiences that enhance online jewelry shopping.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end product design and development lifecycle, including problem discovery, UX strategy, design, implementation, and launch.
  • Translate complex product requirements into intuitive, engaging, and user-centric experiences across web and mobile platforms.
  • Design and build high-quality user interfaces using React and React Native.
  • Collaborate closely with the founding team to define product direction, identify opportunities, and shape the overall user experience.
  • Develop interactive prototypes and functional product experiences to validate ideas and iterate rapidly.
  • Make strategic UX decisions that extend beyond wireframes, visual aesthetics, or AI-generated design outputs.
  • Build scalable, reusable frontend components while maintaining consistency across platforms.
  • Work with backend and AI engineering teams to integrate intelligent features, personalization, and 360° product visualization capabilities.
  • Take full ownership of the quality, usability, and performance of the experiences you build.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Product Design, UI/UX Design, Design Engineering, or a related role.
  • Strong hands-on experience in UI/UX design combined with frontend development expertise.
  • Proficiency in React and React Native, with demonstrated experience building products for both web and mobile platforms.
  • Deep understanding of user-centered design principles, interaction design, usability, and product thinking.
  • Proven ability to independently own the complete product design and frontend implementation lifecycle.
  • Experience translating business requirements and user problems into intuitive product experiences.
  • Capability to make thoughtful UX decisions beyond generating wireframes, screens, or AI-assisted design outputs.
  • Strong knowledge of frontend architecture, component-based design, and responsive interfaces.
  • High ownership mentality, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment.

  • Ability to think like a product builder, seamlessly moving between design thinking, prototyping, and writing production-quality code.
  • Strong sense of product aesthetics, usability, and functionality.
  • Comfortable working closely with founders and taking ownership of product decisions.
  • Enthusiasm for building innovative experiences at the intersection of AI, e-commerce, and consumer technology.
