Senior Software Engineer (SDE III)

## Company Overview We are a high-growth fintech startup building technology that enables Indian investors to access and manage global investment opportunities through a modern, research-driven platform. The company is backed by leading venture capital investors and experienced technology and fintech operators and is in an early stage of rapid growth. The engineering team is building the core technology platform from the ground up, with a strong focus on scalability, security, reliability, and automation.

## Job Summary We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (SDE III) who enjoys solving complex backend problems and taking complete ownership of systems. This role is crucial in designing and building high-performance systems that support our financial technology initiatives.

## Responsibilities - Design, build, and own scalable backend services and APIs using Java/Spring Boot and/or Golang. - Build high-performance systems involving financial workflows, data processing, and third-party integrations. - Design and implement microservices, REST/gRPC APIs, and event-driven architectures. - Write clean, well-tested, production-grade code and actively participate in code reviews. - Own the reliability, monitoring, and observability of the systems you build. - Troubleshoot and resolve complex production and scalability issues. - Work closely with Product and Engineering leadership on architecture, estimation, prioritization, and delivery. - Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering standards and best practices. - Build systems with a strong emphasis on security, reliability, data integrity, and compliance.

## Qualifications - 6–10 years of professional software engineering experience. - Strong hands-on expertise in Java and/or Golang. - Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, and concurrency. - Experience building and scaling backend systems in production. - Strong understanding of microservices, APIs, databases, messaging systems, and cloud infrastructure. - Experience with fintech, financial services, or other highly regulated environments is a strong plus. - Comfortable working in an early-stage startup with high ownership and ambiguity. - Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to identifying risks and technical challenges.

## Preferred Skills - Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL/MySQL, Redis for databases. - Familiarity with Kafka/NATS for messaging. - Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes. - Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). - Experience using GitHub Actions/Jenkins for CI/CD. - Familiarity with observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog or equivalent.

## Experience - 6–10 years of relevant software engineering experience, specifically in backend development.
