Supply Chain Manager

## Company Overview Rapture Innovation Labs Pvt. Ltd (Brand: Sonic Lamb) is a deep-tech audio startup focused on building products in the premium consumer audio space, with plans to expand into the automotive and B2B audio segments in the near future.

## Job Summary The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end procurement of electronic components, mechanical parts, and raw materials. This role is essential to ensuring that Rapture Innovation Labs delivers products on time, within budget, and with high quality. The position entails strategic sourcing, vendor management, and operational execution.

## Responsibilities - Sourcing & Procurement - Source electronic components (ICs, PCBs, connectors, sensors, passive components) and mechanical parts from qualified vendors. - Issue RFQs, evaluate responses, and award Purchase Orders in line with project timelines and budget. - Negotiate pricing, payment terms, credit lines, and delivery schedules with suppliers. - Identify, evaluate, and onboard alternate and new vendors to improve quality, pricing, and supply chain resilience. - Build and maintain a preferred vendor list (PVL) with performance scorecards tracking quality, delivery, cost, and responsiveness.

  • Vendor & Supplier Management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all suppliers including electronic component manufacturers, distributors, EMS, contract manufacturers, and parts fabricators.
  • Manage ongoing relationships with domestic and international suppliers of metal stampings, plastic moulded parts, silicone components, and electronic sub-assemblies.
  • Conduct regular vendor reviews covering quality, delivery performance, pricing competitiveness, and capacity planning.
  • Drive resolution of supply issues, quality rejections, short shipments, and delivery delays in coordination with quality and engineering teams.
  • Procurement Operations
  • Own the full Purchase Order (PO) lifecycle — creation, acknowledgment, tracking, and closure — ensuring accuracy across quantity, pricing, and delivery commitments.
  • Track and report procurement KPIs: on-time delivery rate, cost savings achieved, vendor lead times, and order fulfilment rate.
  • Maintain buffer and safety stock norms for critical and long-lead-time components in coordination with the inventory team.
  • Manage import/export documentation, customs clearance, and international freight processes for overseas shipments.
  • New Product Introduction (NPI) Support
  • Partner with hardware and engineering teams to identify suitable components, request samples, and initiate vendor qualification.
  • Manage procurement timelines during NPI to ensure engineering prototypes and pilot builds are not delayed by material shortages.
  • Maintain documentation of qualified parts and approved vendor lists (AVL) in coordination with engineering.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Work closely with the hardware and engineering team to understand Bill of Materials (BOM) requirements, component specifications, and qualification needs.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to manage purchase budgets, accruals, payment scheduling, and cash flow visibility on open orders.
  • Partner with the quality team to manage incoming inspection requirements, material certifications, and supplier corrective actions (SCARs).

## Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. - Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in supply chain, sourcing, or procurement roles within electronics, hardware, or manufacturing environments. - Proven track record of sourcing and negotiating for electronic components and mechanical fabricated parts. - Strong understanding of electronic components (semiconductors, passives, connectors, modules) and mechanical manufacturing processes (sheet metal, injection moulding, silicone moulding, die casting). - Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) cycles — coordinating with engineering teams on component selection, sample procurement, and vendor qualification. - Proficiency in managing POs, RFQs, and procurement documentation; familiar with ERP or procurement management tools. - Willingness to travel within India and internationally for supplier visits, factory audits, and sourcing trips.

## Preferred Skills - Prior experience in a startup or high-growth hardware product company. - Familiarity with import/export regulations, customs documentation, incoterms, and international freight management. - Working knowledge of trade finance instruments such as Letter of Credit (LC) and Telegraphic Transfer (TT) payment structures. - Familiarity with material compliance standards and supplier quality processes (SCARs, incoming inspection criteria, RoHS/REACH).

## Experience - 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in supply chain or procurement roles.

## Environment - On-site position located in Hubballi or Mangalore.

## Salary - Compensation range of 6 to 9.6 LPA.

## Growth Opportunities - Potential for career advancement within the company as it scales its operations.

## Benefits - Detailed benefits package has not been specified; candidates are encouraged to inquire during the interview process.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
