## Job Summary The Custody Sales role is responsible for driving development, client acquisition, and revenue growth within the custody and clearing business. The position involves building and maintaining strong relationships with institutional clients, understanding their safekeeping, settlement, and reporting needs, and positioning the firm’s custody solutions as their preferred choice. The role contributes to the organization’s strategic growth by expanding market share and ensuring client satisfaction.

## Responsibilities - Business Development & Client Acquisition: - Lead sales strategy for custody services targeting domestic and global institutional clients, including asset managers, hedge funds, insurers, pension funds, family offices, and banks. - Identify new business opportunities, expand the client base, and increase market share. - Manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting, pitching, negotiating, to closing deals.

  • Client Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain trusted, senior-level relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Act as the primary client advocate within the organization, ensuring seamless onboarding and delivering a superior client experience.
  • Collaborate with product and operations teams to customize solutions based on client requirements.
  • Revenue & Market Growth:
  • Achieve revenue and profitability targets for the custody business.
  • Monitor competitor offerings and market trends to identify new growth opportunities.
  • Develop and implement cross-selling strategies with other business lines such as fund services, foreign exchange (FX), and clearing.
  • Governance & Compliance:
  • Ensure all client dealings adhere to regulatory, legal, and risk management standards.
  • Maintain transparent reporting on sales pipeline, revenues, and client feedback to senior management.

## Qualifications - Graduate or Post-graduate degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field. - 12 – 18 years of experience in custody, securities services, or institutional financial sales. - Deep market knowledge and a strong client network within the institutional segment. - Proven track record in business development and client relationship management. - Strong understanding of custody and securities services industry. - Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. - Ability to develop strategic sales plans and execute effectively. - Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements in financial services.

## Preferred Skills - Experience working with global institutional clients. - Familiarity with cross-selling financial products such as fund services, FX, and clearing. - Strong analytical skills to monitor market trends and competitor activities. - Leadership qualities to influence and manage senior client relationships. - Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and functions.

## Experience - 12 to 18 years of relevant experience in custody, securities services, or institutional financial sales. - Extensive experience in developing new business and managing large institutional client portfolios.

## Environment - The role is based in Mumbai. - The work environment involves engaging with senior-level clients and internal teams. - The position may require travel to meet clients and attend industry events. - The setting is primarily office-based with potential for remote interactions depending on client needs.
