Director of Engineering

## Company Overview A leading Fintech / Insur-Tech platform based in Mumbai is seeking a talented and visionary leader to join their team as a Director of Engineering. ## Job Summary The Director of Engineering will oversee the engineering department, ensuring the development of high-quality software and technical solutions. This role is pivotal in driving the technology strategy and fostering an environment that promotes innovation and collaboration. The Director will work closely with cross-functional teams to align technology initiatives with business goals.

## Responsibilities - Lead and manage the engineering team, including recruitment, training, and professional development. - Develop and implement technical strategies that align with the company’s vision and objectives. - Oversee the software development lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products. - Collaborate with product management, design, and other departments to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions. - Establish engineering best practices and drive continuous improvement in processes and methodologies. - Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure the company remains competitive.

## Qualifications - Proven experience as a Director of Engineering or in a similar leadership role within the Fintech or Insur-Tech industry. - Strong technical background with expertise in software development, architecture, and systems design. - Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. - Ability to make data-driven decisions and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. - Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset. - Educational qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

## Preferred Skills - Experience with cloud technologies and platforms. - Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance within the financial services industry. - Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

## Experience - A minimum of 10 years of experience in software engineering or technology leadership, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
