Job Description

Cyber & Tech Risk

The mission of our Cyber & Tech Risk (C&TR) team is to increase public trust and participation in government and critical infrastructure digital services; a key driver in improving Australia’s productivity, equality, resilience, and prosperity. Our subject matter specialists bring scale and expertise across all phases of cyber and AI transformation covering advisory and assurance, privacy and data governance, digital identity, technology implementation, and ongoing security operations.

To support our investment in Cyber & Tech Risk and our ongoing growth, we are seeking expressions of interest from talented and public purpose aligned individuals across both our Cyber Advisory and Platforms & Engineering practices.

We are interested in candidates across our Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra and Brisbane locations.

Cyber Advisory

Desired focus areas: National security, South-East Asia / South Pacific experience, Critical Infrastructure Protection

Our Cyber Advisory team help our clients identify, measure and appropriately manage the cyber risks they carry. We translate the complex world of cyber security by assessing weaknesses in defences, develop strategies and roadmaps to drive up maturity, and support with the implementation of people, process and technology changes. A day in the life of a Cyber Advisory consultant ranges from mastering and applying the broad range of cyber frameworks we implement (e.g. NIST, PSPF/ISM, ISO27k, etc.), to facilitating a cyber crisis simulation, to advising CISOs, CIOs and CROs on strategic changes to their organisations.

As our Cyber team continues to grow, we are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team across the Director, Senior Manager, Manager, and Senior Associate levels nationally.

We are seeking highly motivated professionals who are passionate about working with public purpose clients and helping to build more equitable, resilient, secure and prosperous communities. Whether you're an experienced cyber security specialist, risk management professional, or program delivery expert, we want to hear from you if you share our commitment to delivering trusted advisory services that make a meaningful difference to the public sector and the communities they serve.

Cyber Platforms & Engineering

Desired focus areas: AI security, AI engineering, experience building AI agents, orchestrated agentic workflows and AI harnesses for security use cases, MCP integrations

AI is redefining how advisory services are delivered through a model that combines trusted client relationships, deep technical expertise, and AI-enabled platforms and agentic workflows. Scyne has invested heavily into leading this transition, and our Platforms & Engineering teams are building the foundations of this change.

Where our Cyber Advisory teams re-define our client’s security workflows and build basic agents and prototypes to prove an AI use case, our Platforms & Engineering teams architect and rebuild these for secure enterprise scale. We focus on the underlying security of AI platforms and workflows, connectivity to trusted data sources, and integrating with key security technologies to bring AI use cases to life.

This is an opportunity to join a rapidly growing team at a pivotal moment of AI adoption, building the foundations that support the rapid transition to modern consulting and professional service companies founded on an integrated Advise, Engineer and Operate model and powered by leading AI tools, platforms and emerging technologies from day one.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
