The posting

Key Duties:

  • Maintain a safe, clean and well-organised science laboratory.
  • Check and maintain laboratory equipment, apparatus and materials.
  • Report faulty equipment and ensure proper disposal of broken glassware.
  • Maintain stock, breakage and inventory records; replenish supplies when required.
  • Check first-aid supplies and ensure adequate stock levels.
  • Assist Science teachers with lesson preparation and post-lesson clearing.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Science HOD.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a science laboratory, preferably in a school environment.
  • Good written and spoken English.
  • Basic computer/digital skills for record keeping and communication.

Duration/Working hours:

9 months contract ( Option to extend another 9 months) Jan 2027 to Dec 2027

(i) Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays (ii) Working hours for any 2 days during the week (Eg: Monday and Wednesday) will be from 8:00am to 1:30pm inclusive of 0.5hour break (iii) Working hours for the 3rd day during the week (Eg: Friday) will be from 8:00am to 2:30pm, inclusive of 0.5hour break.

(iv) Total working hours for the 3 days will be 16 hours. (2 days of 5hours each and 1 day of 6hours) (v) 16 hours work week may be deployed flexibly but still limited to the 3 working days per week.

(vi) Deployment hours is capped at 16 hours weekly.

Service is not required on Saturdays, Sundays, gazetted public holidays and School Holidays (including March, June and September breaks) / Events / Activities
