Job Title: IT Systems Administrator   Job Summary: Sealaska is seeking a Systems Administrator to support offices in California. The Systems Administrator assists in the management and implementation of in-house information systems that support core organizational functions and assure their high availability. Participates in the selection, planning, design, implementation, documentation, monitoring, maintenance, optimization, and support of Windows server and cloud server technologies across several companies. Is responsible for disaster recovery technologies across the organization. Analyzes and resolves hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion. Provide end user or technical staff training where required. Provide end user support. Research and recommends new technologies that will enhance production platforms in the areas of high availability, business continuity, and performance.   This is a hybrid role and can be located in northern or southern California.    Duties/Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the IT Manager to assess near and long-term technology needs. Assists with systems design and capacity planning. Assist with the development, implementation, and maintenance of policies and procedures for disaster recovery. Conduct research on emerging technologies in support of systems development efforts and recommend technologies that will increase cost effectiveness and systems flexibility. Design, maintain and deploy cloud server environments. Interact with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure systems products and services. Oversee new and existing equipment, hardware, and software upgrades. Maintain Entra Directory end users, group, accounts, permissions, and access rights. Manage server and data backup systems in compliance with disaster recovery plans. Manage servers, including database, file, and backup servers and their associated operating systems and software. Manage and maintain the cloud server and storage environment. Monitor and test performance providing performance statistics and reports as required. Perform ServiceDesk duties as required with support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers and other end-user computer platforms Other duties as assigned

  Required Skills/Abilities:

Personable, easy to work with, and self-starter. Working technical knowledge of AWS or Azure environments. Management experience with Intune, Autopilot, O365. Management of various SaaS platforms. Basic SharePoint knowledge (ability to migrate it to Box.com) Working technical knowledge of Windows client and Server OS’s. Hands-on software and hardware troubleshooting experience.

Ability to travel: 20%. Strong interpersonal and oral communications skills. Ability to conduct research into software issues and products as required. Googlefu. Ability to present ideas and solutions in user-friendly language. Highly self-motivated and directed. << Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Strong customer service orientation. Team oriented.

Nice to have - Previous experience with tenant migrations. Nice to have - Basic IT experience with Sage or equivalent platform.

Five years of equivalent work experience.

The employee must be able to safely lift / carry and / or move moderately heavy objects such as computers and peripherals that may weigh up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Mostly work from home opportunity: But will require occasional travel to offices in Northern and Southern California.
