The posting

A leading healthcare facility in the UAE is seeking an experienced and highly qualified Consultant in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine to join its specialist medical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating complex respiratory conditions, managing critically ill patients, and providing advanced pulmonary and intensive care services.

Requirements

Candidates must hold one of the following recognised qualifications:

  • UK CCT – Certificate of Completion of Training in Respiratory Medicine and/or Intensive Care Medicine, with appropriate subspecialty training.
  • Western Qualified – Recognised specialist qualification in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine from an eligible Western country.
  • American Board – Board Certification in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine.
  • Australian Board – Relevant specialist qualification and advanced training recognised by the Australian specialist college.
  • South African Board – Relevant specialist qualification in Pulmonology and/or Critical Care Medicine recognised by the relevant South African authority.

Additional requirements:

  • Extensive post-specialisation clinical experience.
  • Proven experience managing complex respiratory and critical care cases.
  • Expertise in mechanical ventilation and ICU patient management.
  • Experience in bronchoscopy and advanced pulmonary procedures.
  • Strong clinical judgement and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and multidisciplinary teamwork abilities.
