Job Summary

We are seeking qualified Consultant and Specialist Infectious Disease Physicians with UK CCT qualifications to join leading healthcare facilities across the UAE. The ideal candidates should have extensive experience in diagnosing, treating, and preventing complex infectious diseases, managing antimicrobial therapies, and providing specialist consultation across hospital departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and manage a broad range of acute and chronic infectious diseases.
  • Evaluate and treat complex bacterial, viral, fungal, and parasitic infections.
  • Manage patients with sepsis, bloodstream infections, and other serious infectious conditions.
  • Provide specialist care for HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, hepatitis, and other communicable diseases.
  • Assess and manage infections in immunocompromised and transplant patients.
  • Develop and oversee appropriate antimicrobial treatment plans.
  • Promote antimicrobial stewardship and rational antibiotic prescribing.
  • Provide consultations for hospital-acquired and healthcare-associated infections.
  • Support infection prevention and control programmes across clinical departments.
  • Interpret microbiology reports, cultures, sensitivity testing, and relevant diagnostic investigations.
  • Collaborate with microbiologists, intensivists, surgeons, oncologists, and other specialists.
  • Advise on isolation precautions, outbreak management, and infection control measures.
  • Provide pre-travel consultations, vaccination advice, and preventive healthcare guidance, where applicable.
  • Monitor treatment outcomes and manage complications associated with infectious diseases.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and comply with clinical governance and patient safety standards.

Requirements

  • MBBS / MBChB or equivalent recognized medical qualification.
  • UK Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Infectious Diseases, with the relevant specialty training pathway.
  • Relevant post-CCT clinical experience.
  • Current or previous GMC registration, as applicable.
  • Strong expertise in infectious disease management, antimicrobial therapy, and infection prevention.
  • Eligibility for Specialist or Consultant licensing under the relevant UAE healthcare authority requirements.
