The posting

We are seeking an experienced and highly qualified Breast Surgeon to join a prestigious government healthcare facility in the UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive surgical care to patients with benign and malignant breast conditions, including breast cancer diagnosis, surgical management, and post-operative care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and manage benign and malignant breast diseases.
  • Perform breast-conserving surgeries, mastectomies, and other breast surgical procedures.
  • Manage patients with breast cancer through multidisciplinary treatment planning.
  • Evaluate breast abnormalities and coordinate diagnostic investigations, including biopsies and imaging.
  • Provide pre-operative assessments and post-operative follow-up care.
  • Work closely with oncology, radiology, pathology, and plastic surgery teams.
  • Participate in breast cancer screening, early detection, and prevention programmes.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with clinical standards.
  • Contribute to clinical audits, research, and continuous professional development.

Requirements

  • Recognised postgraduate qualification in General Surgery with subspecialty training in Breast Surgery or an equivalent recognised qualification.
  • Relevant specialist or consultant-level clinical experience in Breast Surgery.
  • Extensive experience in the surgical management of benign and malignant breast conditions.
  • Experience in a reputable hospital or tertiary healthcare facility.
  • Strong clinical judgement and surgical skills.
  • Excellent communication and multidisciplinary coordination skills.
  • Eligibility for the relevant UAE healthcare authority's specialist/consultant classification, subject to authority assessment.

Preferred Qualifications: UK CCT, Western Qualified, American Board, Australian Board, and German Board qualifications are highly preferred.
