The posting

We are seeking an experienced Specialist / Consultant in Cardiac Anaesthesia to join a prestigious premium healthcare facility in the Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialized anaesthesia care to patients undergoing cardiac and cardiothoracic surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and optimal perioperative outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide anaesthesia care for patients undergoing cardiac and cardiothoracic surgeries.
  • Conduct preoperative assessments and evaluate patients' fitness for surgery.
  • Administer and monitor general anaesthesia during cardiac procedures.
  • Manage intraoperative haemodynamic monitoring and patient stability.
  • Perform and interpret transesophageal echocardiography (TEE), where appropriately qualified.
  • Manage postoperative care and pain management in cardiac intensive care settings.
  • Handle complex cardiac cases, including coronary artery bypass and valve surgeries.
  • Collaborate with cardiac surgeons, intensivists, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to patient safety standards.

Requirements

  • Recognized Specialist or Consultant qualification in Cardiac Anaesthesia.
  • Relevant postgraduate qualifications and clinical experience.
  • Proven experience in cardiac and cardiothoracic anaesthesia.
  • Experience in advanced haemodynamic monitoring and perioperative patient management.
  • Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills.
  • UK CCT, Western Qualified, American Board, Australian Board, and German Board.
