The posting

We are seeking an experienced Specialist / Consultant in Gastroenterology to join a prestigious premium healthcare facility in the UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing disorders of the digestive system, providing comprehensive gastroenterological care and performing advanced diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and manage gastrointestinal and digestive system disorders.
  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic upper GI endoscopy and colonoscopy.
  • Manage conditions affecting the oesophagus, stomach, intestines, liver, and pancreas.
  • Perform endoscopic procedures, including polypectomy and biopsy, where qualified.
  • Manage inflammatory bowel disease, gastrointestinal bleeding, and liver-related conditions.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor patient progress.
  • Provide preventive care and guidance on digestive health.
  • Collaborate with surgeons and other medical specialists.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure patient safety.

Requirements

  • Recognized Specialist or Consultant qualification in Gastroenterology.
  • Relevant postgraduate qualifications and clinical experience.
  • Proven experience in managing complex gastrointestinal conditions.
  • Expertise in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures.
  • Strong clinical decision-making and patient management skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • UK CCT, Western Qualified, American Board, Australian Board, and German Board.
