The posting

We are seeking an experienced Specialist / Consultant in Visceral Surgery to join a prestigious premium healthcare facility in the UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and surgically treating diseases affecting the abdominal organs and digestive system, providing advanced surgical care and ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and manage surgical conditions affecting the abdominal organs.
  • Perform open, laparoscopic, and minimally invasive abdominal surgeries.
  • Manage gastrointestinal, colorectal, hepatobiliary, and pancreatic surgical conditions.
  • Perform surgeries involving the stomach, intestines, gallbladder, and appendix.
  • Manage abdominal emergencies, including bowel obstruction and perforations.
  • Perform hernia repairs and other abdominal wall procedures.
  • Provide preoperative assessments and postoperative patient management.
  • Monitor surgical outcomes and manage postoperative complications.
  • Collaborate with gastroenterologists, oncologists, and other surgical specialists.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow patient safety standards.

Requirements

  • Recognized Specialist or Consultant qualification in Visceral Surgery.
  • Relevant postgraduate qualifications and clinical experience.
  • Proven experience in abdominal and gastrointestinal surgery.
  • Expertise in open and minimally invasive surgical techniques.
  • Strong surgical judgment and clinical decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and multidisciplinary teamwork abilities.
  • UK CCT, Western Qualified, American Board, Australian Board, and German Board.
