The posting

Do you enjoy building the systems, integrations, and workflows that help an entire organization work better? Are you the kind of person who sees how tools and processes connect - and wants to make those connections smoother? We are looking for a System Engineer to join our team in Internal Operations.

Sectra is one of the world's leading providers of IT systems for managing medical images. Our long-term ambition is to be the leader in making customers' diagnostics more efficient and contribute to proven improved care outcomes for patients. In other words - we create future-proof and effective solutions that help save lives.

Working as a System Engineer in Internal Operations

You will join one of the teams within Internal Operations that builds and maintains the platforms, tools, and services our development organization depends on every day. The team’s responsibility spans service management platforms, the Atlassian ecosystem, enterprise integrations, and the tooling that ties them together. We treat our platforms as products - always evolving, always in dialogue with the people who use them.

You will work across the full range of what the team owns: configuring and improving platforms, developing integrations between enterprise systems, supporting migrations, and collaborating with stakeholders from development teams, IT, and country organizations to understand their needs and deliver solutions that work in practice.

We are looking for someone with broad technical curiosity, the flexibility to pick up new tools and domains quickly, and the drive to take ownership across the full breadth of what the team delivers.

Your main responsibilities will most likely include:

  • Configuring, maintaining, and improving service management platforms - including workflows, automation rules, SLAs, and portals.
  • Developing integrations that connect platforms with surrounding systems such as CRM, monitoring tools, and development tooling through APIs and automation.
  • Supporting migrations
  • Collaborating with stakeholders across the organization to understand service needs, adapt configurations, and make rollouts smooth.
  • Documenting configurations, processes, and runbooks so the team and stakeholders can follow along.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, balancing short-term fixes with long-term platform health.

At Sectra, we hire for attitude and ability, and train for skill. This means who you are is more important than your previous experiences. There are a few core abilities that are central for any role. We always look for your willingness and ability to learn and take on new tasks fast, utilize previous experiences, and quickly grasp new information. We also want you to have a strong analytical mindset in which we consider it to be important that you can understand, break down, and solve problems. We also look for good communicators who have the ability to interact with colleagues, partners, and customers in an effective, clear, and constructive way.

In addition to these abilities, we also want you to:

  • Have a Bachelor's or master's degree within engineering, IT, or similar with a strong academic record.
  • Have a technical background - you are comfortable working with code, scripts, APIs, or automation tools.
  • Have experience with or a strong interest in service management platforms and ITSM concepts.
  • Be someone who thrives in a project environment with several parallel workstreams, where you switch between configuration, integration work, troubleshooting, documentation, and stakeholder communication.
  • Be fluent in Swedish and English, both verbally and written.

We consider it a great asset if you:

  • Have experience with the Atlassian ecosystem - Jira, Jira Service Management, Confluence, or related tools.
  • Have worked with ITSM frameworks or processes such as ITIL (Incident, Problem, Change, Service Request).
  • Have experience building integrations between enterprise systems using REST APIs, middleware, or scripting.
  • Speak more languages than those required above.
  • Have interests besides school and work, such as sports, music, board games, computer games, singing, or flying.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
