Job Description

Securitas Canada Limited is one of Canada's largest providers of security services and a leader within our industry. Securitas is the second largest provider of security services globally. We have business operations in 45 markets and capabilities spanning from guarding to tech-enables security. We provide Integrated Guarding, Remote Guarding, Mobile Guarding, Onsite Guarding, Investigative Services and Technology Services.

This position is for an active vacancy. Posting will be removed once the position has been filled.

We are seeking highly motivated security personnel to work at Automotive Site based in Brampton.

Position Overview:

Wages: $20.98 an hour

Status: Full time

Shift: Rotational (12 hours)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform access control provision duties at the front desk, verifying visitors and contractors coming on-site.
  • De-escalate tense situations by verbal communication using a variety of techniques designed to reduce risk.
  • Act as a First Responder in the event of a medical emergency.
  • Performing regular audits of Fire equipment's, fire sprinkler, fire extinguishers.
  • Performing Evacuation during fire drills and emergency situations.
  • Escort medical staff including paramedics, police and firefighters when required.
  • Respond to medical emergencies and be prepared to perform CPR and AED if needed.
  • Unlock and lock doors for access by authorized persons. Denying entry to anyone without authorization.
  • Perform foot and vehicle patrols inside/outside the facility including gatehouse duties when required.
  • Monitor CCTV footage and cameras for irregularities and perform dispatch duties for the site including emergency response.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous Security work experience with large scale industry.
  • Must possess a valid Standard First Aid CPR-C with AED certificate
  • Must be able to work 12 hour shifts, both days, nights and weekends
  • Must be able to wear a hard hat – current construction zone.
  • Valid G license with a clean driver's abstract.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
