This position is located at a healthcare facility in Brooklyn, NY that includes a behavioral health unit. Security officers assigned to this location may have direct or indirect interactions with patients experiencing mental health crises.

Healthcare Security Officer – Brooklyn, NY Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities Available | $20.10/hour

Are you an experienced security professional looking for a meaningful role where your presence truly matters? We are currently hiring Security Officers for a healthcare facility in Brooklyn, NY that includes a behavioral health/psychiatric unit. This position is ideal for individuals who can remain calm under pressure, demonstrate professionalism at all times, and confidently work in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Security officers assigned to this location may have direct or indirect interaction with patients experiencing mental health crises or emotional distress. Candidates must be comfortable working in this type of environment and understand the importance of maintaining safety, awareness, empathy, and professionalism throughout every shift.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced officers seeking long-term stability, professional growth, and the ability to make a direct impact within a healthcare setting.

We are seeking dependable, professional Security Officers who are:

  • Available to work weekends
  • Willing to work at least two of the following three shifts:Morning Evening Overnight
  • Comfortable working at different Securitas locations throughout the Bronx, Manhattan, and Brooklyn
  • Reliable and able to adapt to changing site and scheduling needs
  • Professional, alert, and committed to providing excellent security services

Position Responsibilities: • Maintain a safe and secure environment for hospital staff, patients, and visitors • Monitor facility access points and conduct interior/exterior patrols • Respond appropriately to incidents, disturbances, and emergency situations • Assist with de-escalation support when needed • Complete detailed incident reports and documentation • Maintain a professional and visible security presence throughout the facility

Requirements: • Minimum of 1 year of prior security or law enforcement experience REQUIRED • Security experience MUST be clearly listed on your resume • Candidates with less than 1 year of experience will not be considered • Active NYS Security Guard License required • Must provide proof of education (High School Diploma, GED, transcripts, or degree) • Must be comfortable working in a hospital environment that includes a psychiatric/behavioral health unit • Must be available to work evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays as needed • Strong communication skills and professional demeanor required
