Job Description

Part Time Weekend Security Officer

Location: Lexington, MA

Shifts: Saturday & Sunday, 2pm-10pm OR 11pm-7am

Pay Rate: $20.60-$21.00 hourly

We are seeking a professional, dependable, and customer-focused Security Officers to provide a safe and secure environment at a corporate office facility. The Security Officer will serve as a visible security presence while providing excellent customer service to employees, visitors, and clients.

This position is ideal for someone who is professional, attentive to detail, comfortable interacting with people, and able to remain calm and composed in a variety of situations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and authorized guests.
  • Monitor and control access to the facility, including employee and visitor entry.
  • Conduct regular patrols of the interior of the building, maybe exterior patrols also depending on client site.
  • Monitor security systems, alarms, cameras, and other building security equipment.
  • Verify identification, credentials, and visitor access as required.
  • Maintain accurate daily activity, incident, and security reports.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to security incidents, emergencies, and unusual activity.
  • Contact appropriate emergency personnel when necessary and assist with emergency response procedures.
  • Provide directions and general assistance to employees and visitors.
  • Enforce site-specific security policies, procedures, and access-control protocols.
  • Monitor deliveries, contractors, and other authorized vendors entering the facility.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude while representing the security team.
  • Communicate effectively with site management, client representatives, employees, and fellow security personnel.
  • Perform other security-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional demeanor and excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to remain alert and attentive throughout the shift.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong observation and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions within established procedures.
