Job Description

Part Time Security Officer

Location: Billerica, MA

Schedule: Friday & Saturday, 10pm-6am

Pay Rate: $21.77 hourly

Securitas Security Services USA, Inc. is seeking a dependable and professional Part-Time Security Officer to join our team in Billerica, MA. The ideal candidate is observant, customer-service oriented, and committed to maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and clients.

As a Security Officer, you will play an important role in protecting people and property while providing professional security services and responding to situations as they arise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and patrol assigned areas to help prevent unauthorized access, security breaches, and suspicious activity.
  • Greet and assist employees, visitors, and contractors in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Control access to the facility by verifying identification, checking credentials, and maintaining visitor logs as required.
  • Monitor security cameras, alarms, and other security systems.
  • Conduct routine patrols and inspections of the property.
  • Respond to incidents, emergencies, and security-related concerns in accordance with established procedures.
  • Prepare accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation.
  • Enforce site-specific policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, visitors, employees, and fellow security team members.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demonstrate sound judgment while on duty.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to remain alert, attentive, and professional throughout the shift.
  • Ability to follow written procedures and verbal instructions.
  • Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
  • Ability to pass all required background checks and pre-employment screenings, as applicable.
  • Previous security, military, law enforcement, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
