ABOUT SEEK DEVELOPMENT

SEEK is a social impact consulting group that supports its clients to be a force for global human development, working across global health, climate adaptation, education and gender. Our portfolio of services includes strategy and policy development, organisational effectiveness, development finance, resource mobilisation and strategic advocacy.

Global health is our core portfolio and the area we are most widely known for across the ecosystem, serving major players spanning foundations, multilateral organisations, product-development partnerships, governments, civil society and the private sector.

We combine top management consulting approaches with cutting-edge global health and development ecosystem knowledge. We offer a fast-paced, stimulating and international work environment, allowing each team member to professionally develop and grow in their mission to make positive and lasting contributions to a more equitable and sustainable world.

ABOUT YOUR ROLE

As a Project Manager -Global Health, you will play a crucial role in managing consulting projects across SEEK’s portfolio. You will guide project teams and advise senior clients within leading organisations in the global health space. You will hold end-to-end accountability for your projects, including delivery, quality and budget. You will help clients formulate innovative strategic plans to optimise their impact and build organisations that serve as powerful agents of change. You will also be part of our SEEK management team, help develop the global health practice and support the professional growth of its members.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

Client and business leadership:

  • Cultivate close relationships with senior clients, acting as a trusted advisor who understands their evolving needs, helps them build evidence-based strategies and the organisational capacity to deliver, and is actively sought out for follow-up work.
  • Draw on your relationships, network and expertise to identify opportunities to serve existing and new clients, and drive the creation of winning proposals to further grow SEEK’s global health portfolio.
  • As a member of the SEEK management team, take ownership of building the firm beyond client work, identifying critical enablers for SEEK’s work and brand and steering internal initiatives around them.

Project and people leadership:

  • Take responsibility for delivering high-quality, high-impact work on client engagements, drawing on your expertise to ensure clients receive the best solutions to their issues.
  • Direct the day-to-day running of client projects in global health, guiding teams of consultants in structuring problems, conducting analyses, pushing beyond the obvious, developing innovative solutions, and anticipating risks and issues.
  • Staff teams for both client impact and consultants’ development, growing talent across SEEK through mentoring, coaching and feedback, as well as self-development.
  • Positively shape SEEK’s culture by cultivating belonging and role-modelling our values, and build community internally and externally.

Practice and thought leadership:

  • Co-lead SEEK's global health practice, representing it and acting as a go-to person internally and externally; developing and delivering the practice strategy; and building its knowledge, offerings and reputation through your expertise, project work and external profile in global health.
  • Contribute to the development of new products, approaches and tools to continuously strengthen SEEK’s offering to its global health clients.

  • Deep working knowledge of global health current issues/debates, architecture, actors, political dynamics and funding streams.
  • Experience working within a global health organisation or demonstrated equivalent depth of engagement with the global health ecosystem.
  • Established network in the global health ecosystem, with relationships across key organisations such as UN agencies, product-development partnerships, foundations and bilateral donors.
  • A network and/or experience working within philanthropy, the private sector or development banks in a global health context is an asset, as is significant exposure to Africa-based global health work.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
