Work is Sweet!

'Quality without Compromise' is not just a motto at See’s Candies. It is the most important ingredient in our recipe for success. See’s Candies has been in business since 1921 and maintains a reputation for producing the highest quality candy and providing superior customer service.

See’s is a leader in the confectionery industry with over 250 retail shops across the USA, a growing e-commerce business, and expanding opportunities internationally. We are seeking friendly, enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about helping us grow and thrive in our second century.

Job Description Summary:

The Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer provides executive leadership for See’s Candies’ financial strategy, stewardship, and business performance. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this leader serves as a trusted advisor to the CEO and a key member of the senior leadership team, helping shape company strategy, evaluate opportunities, and translate business priorities into disciplined financial and operating plans.

See’s combines its own manufacturing plants and distribution center with company-operated retail stores, e-commerce, and product sales to international and domestic licensees who operate See’s stores. The CFO & Treasurer brings an integrated financial perspective to this business model, connecting product costs, production and inventory decisions, distribution, and channel performance to profitability, cash generation, and long-term value.

This executive leads financial planning and analysis, accounting and reporting, treasury, financial controls, and financial risk management, and serves as the principal finance liaison with Berkshire Hathaway. The role requires strategic judgment and hands-on engagement: a leader who understands the operations behind the numbers, develops finance talent, and supports profitable growth while respecting See’s culture, product quality, and customer experience

The pay range for this position is expected to be $300-$350k annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
