This Opportunity:

  • Lead and contribute to the planning, design, and delivery of airport infrastructure projects, including runways, taxiways, aprons, buildings, utilities, and other airfield improvements
  • Manage airport projects through various phases of development, coordinating scope, schedules, budgets, technical resources, and deliverables
  • Prepare and oversee construction plans, specifications, bidding documents, technical studies, reports, estimates, and other project documentation
  • Collaborate with clients, engineers, planners, agencies, contractors, and other project stakeholders to identify project needs and develop effective solutions
  • Apply airport design standards, engineering principles, and regulatory requirements throughout project development and construction
  • Support federal and state funding and grant-related project activities
  • Provide technical leadership, coaching, and mentoring to engineers and other project team members
  • Support construction-phase activities, including coordination with clients, contractors, and agencies
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships while identifying opportunities to continue supporting their long-term infrastructure needs
  • Create and foster an empowered team environment by embracing individual accountability and contributing collaboratively to shared success
  • This opportunity is open to candidates residing in the following areas: St Paul, MN and surrounding area

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain appropriate Minnesota licensure
  • Experience working with FAA requirements, funding programs, or airport design standards
  • Demonstrated experience with airport planning, design, and/or construction projects
  • Ability to travel as needed for on-site observations, team meetings, client consultations etc. including overnight travel
  • Experience managing engineering projects, including coordination of scope, schedule, budget, and project teams
  • Experience working collaboratively with clients, agencies, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams
  • Knowledge of applicable engineering standards, design requirements, and construction practices
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Six (6) to eight (8) years of relevant civil engineering experience, with airport or aviation-related infrastructure experience preferred
  • Two (2) or more years of project management experience
  • Experience developing construction plans, specifications, estimates, and bidding documents
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring, coaching, or providing technical direction to other engineering staff
  • Experience with proposal development and client relationship management

Base compensation is expected to be in the range of $110,000 and $125,000 based on skill set and experience. Check out our full benefits package at SEH Hiring Journey.
