Sekolah Pelita Harapan is a group of five International Christian schools located in the heart of Indonesia, in the city of Jakarta. From a visionary beginning in 1993, Sekolah Pelita Harapan schools continue to develop as Indonesia's leading Christian schools with a focus on academic excellence, personal growth, and spiritual development. Using the International Baccalaureate and Cambridge programs helps us develop mature, thoughtful students committed to lifelong learning and who use inquiry to seek truth.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Deliver Drama/Performing Arts lessons.
  2. Teach acting, movement, voice, and performance skills.
  3. Plan and direct school productions and performances.
  4. Create a safe, creative, and inclusive learning environment.
  5. Assess student learning through performance tasks and reflections.
  6. Provide clear, constructive feedback to students.
  7. Collaborate with other teachers on interdisciplinary projects.
  8. Communicate with parents regarding student progress and events.
  9. Participate in school events and professional development.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Drama, Performing Arts, Theatre Education, or a related field
  • Teaching qualification or certification (preferably with IB experience)
  • Minimum 2-3 years of teaching experience in Drama/Performing Arts
  • Strong, demonstrable Christian faith
  • A biblical Christian worldview
  • Strong interpersonal and intercultural skills
  • A love for students
  • Enthusiasm and the ability to work in a team
  • A commitment to personal and professional growth
