The posting

Een complex IT-probleem uitzoeken, een migratie begeleiden of meedenken over hoe een klant zijn IT beter kan organiseren: jij voelt je goed in een functie waarin je die zaken combineert.

Voor een klant zoekt Selectic een Senior IT System Engineer. Je komt terecht bij een IT-dienstverlener die kmo’s ondersteunt met hun volledige IT-omgeving. De klanten hebben ongeveer 25 tot 250 werkplekken, waardoor je met uiteenlopende infrastructuren en uitdagingen aan de slag gaat.

Je krijgt ruimte om zelfstandig te werken, technische keuzes te maken en verbeteringen voor te stellen. Tegelijk maak je deel uit van een team waarin collega’s op elkaar kunnen rekenen.

Wat ga je doen?

Je combineert complexe L3-support met projecten en structurele verbeteringen bij klanten. De ene dag onderzoek je een hardnekkig netwerkprobleem, de andere werk je aan een migratie of adviseer je een klant over zijn infrastructuur.

Concreet betekent dit dat je:

  • Complexe incidenten en escalaties onderzoekt en oplost.
  • IT-projecten uitvoert, coördineert en opvolgt, zoals migraties en het inrichten van nieuwe omgevingen.
  • Klantomgevingen verbetert op het vlak van beveiliging, snelheid en stabiliteit.
  • Terugkerende taken automatiseert met PowerShell, scripting of andere tools.
  • Meedenkt over infrastructuur, cloudoplossingen en technische architectuur.
  • Verbeterpunten bij klanten herkent en vertaalt naar haalbare voorstellen.
  • Mee bouwt aan technische standaarden en goede werkwijzen binnen het team.

Bij je keuzes houd je rekening met de dagelijkse werking, prioriteiten en het budget van de klant. Je legt begrijpelijk uit wat er speelt, welke mogelijkheden er zijn en wat je aanbeveelt.

Je hebt ruime ervaring als System Engineer of in een vergelijkbare brede IT-functie. Je werkt graag in verschillende omgevingen en kunt zelfstandig complexe problemen analyseren.

Je zoekt uit waar een probleem vandaan komt en denkt mee over hoe je het in de toekomst kunt voorkomen. Bij kritische incidenten bewaar je het overzicht en blijf je betrokken tot de situatie onder controle is.

Technisch breng je een stevige basis mee in meerdere van deze domeinen:

  • Microsoft: Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune en Defender.
  • Servers en virtualisatie: Windows Server, Active Directory, hybride omgevingen, Hyper-V en VMware.
  • Netwerken: firewalls, VPN, routing, switches en wifi.
  • Beveiliging: FortiGate of vergelijkbare oplossingen.
  • Automatisering: PowerShell en scripting.
  • Cloud: Azure, cloudarchitectuur en identity.

Je hoeft niet van elke technologie alles te weten. We zoeken een ervaren generalist die verbanden legt, verantwoordelijkheid neemt en zich graag verder verdiept. Ervaring met kmo-omgevingen of binnen een MSP is een sterke meerwaarde.

Ook het contact met klanten ligt je. Je luistert, vraagt door en kunt technische informatie helder uitleggen aan iemand zonder IT-achtergrond. Met collega’s deel je graag je kennis en je bevindingen.
