Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on F&B Assistant Manager / Manager to oversee the daily operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining smooth outlet operations, leading the service team, ensuring excellent customer service, controlling operating costs and maintaining high standards of food safety, cleanliness and service quality.

This position is suitable for an experienced F&B professional who is proactive, responsible and comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the outlet and ensure smooth service throughout each shift.
  • Lead, supervise and motivate service and kitchen support staff.
  • Prepare staff schedules and arrange manpower according to operational requirements.
  • Conduct daily staff briefings and allocate duties effectively.
  • Ensure guests receive prompt, friendly and professional service.
  • Handle customer feedback, complaints and service recovery professionally.
  • Monitor food quality, presentation, portion control and service standards.
  • Ensure the outlet complies with food safety, hygiene and workplace safety requirements.
  • Maintain outlet cleanliness and ensure all equipment and facilities are in good working condition.
  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate the ordering of ingredients, beverages, packaging and operating supplies.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and minimise wastage, discrepancies and unnecessary expenses.
  • Monitor outlet sales, labour costs, food costs and other operating expenses.
  • Handle cashiering, daily sales reconciliation, cash deposits and outlet reports where required.
  • Train, coach and evaluate team members to improve service quality and operational performance.
  • Assist with recruitment, onboarding and disciplinary matters when necessary.
  • Work closely with management on promotions, menu updates and initiatives to improve sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Respond appropriately to operational issues, staff shortages and emergency situations.
  • Perform other duties assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in restaurant, café or F&B outlet operations.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory, Assistant Manager or Manager position is strongly preferred.
  • Good understanding of restaurant operations, customer service, inventory control and cost management.
  • Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to manage and motivate a diverse team.
  • Responsible, organised and able to work independently.
  • Customer-focused with a positive and professional attitude.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
  • Basic computer knowledge and experience with POS systems, scheduling or operational reporting.
  • Knowledge of Singapore food hygiene and workplace safety requirements is preferred.
  • Food Safety Course Level 1 certification is preferred.
  • Able to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
