The posting

Dietary Manager The Kenwood | A Senior Star Community At Senior Star, dining is more than serving a meal. It is an opportunity to create comfort, connection, and a sense of being known — while making sure every resident receives the food and support that is right for them. The Kenwood is looking for a Dietary Manager who can bring together strong food service operations, attention to resident-specific dietary needs, and Legendary Hospitality. This role works directly with the Food & Beverage Director and helps lead the day-to-day operation of the kitchen and dining rooms. We are looking for someone who notices the details, takes ownership, develops their team, and understands that a Top in Class dining experience must be both exceptional and accurate. What You’ll Do

Help lead daily kitchen and dining operations to provide a consistently high-quality resident experience. Ensure meals are prepared and served promptly, professionally, and according to Senior Star presentation standards. Manage resident-specific dietary needs and preferences, including therapeutic diets, texture-modified diets, thickened liquids, food allergies, dietary restrictions, and dysphagia-related precautions. Partner closely with the Food & Beverage Director, consulting dietitian, and nursing/clinical teams regarding resident needs and diet changes. Maintain accurate dietary records and ensure meals are served according to diet orders. Support menu planning, food and supply inventory, meal costs, and department budget expectations. Train, coach, and support associates in delivering an exceptional dining experience. Maintain Top in Class standards for food safety, sanitation, cleanliness, storage, and regulatory compliance. Be visible in the dining rooms, connect with residents, listen to feedback, and address concerns. Support special events and partner with other departments to create memorable resident experiences.

What Top in Class Looks Like Legendary HospitalityYou know our residents as individuals — their preferences, routines, dietary needs, and the details that matter to them. You understand that even when a meal requires modification, the resident should still receive an experience that feels thoughtful, appealing, and personal. Legendary TeamworkYou communicate closely with culinary, dining, nursing, and community leadership because resident needs don't live within one department. You make sure the right information gets to the right people and help your team deliver consistently. Legendary LeadershipYou are present, accountable, and willing to jump in. You set clear expectations, coach your team, address issues quickly, and pay attention to the details that protect both the resident experience and resident safety. What We’re Looking For

Knowledge of food preparation, service, portion control, sanitation, and proper food storage. Active Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification in Ohio Knowledge of physician-ordered diets and/or the ability to work with a consulting dietitian to prepare them. Understanding of food costs, budgets, purchasing, receiving, and inventory. Ability to lead, direct, and work alongside others. Strong organization, communication, and follow-through. A professional demeanor and strong work ethic. Someone who is comfortable interacting directly with residents and families. A genuine desire to improve the lives of seniors and embrace the Senior Star mission and culture.

At Senior Star, Top in Class means getting the details right while never losing sight of the person we're serving. We're looking for a Dietary Manager who takes pride in a well-run operation, develops strong teams, and believes every resident — regardless of their dietary needs — deserves a dining experience filled with quality, dignity, and Legendary Hospitality. #INDKEN

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
