Your Role as an Early-Day Caregiver

Every day brings an opportunity to make a positive impact. As a Senior Helpers Caregiver, you will provide a helping hand and companionship while assisting clients with their everyday needs.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Building relationships with clients through fun and engaging conversations.
  • Participating in clients' favorite hobbies and activities, including scrapbooking, gardening, games, and more.
  • Preparing meals for clients to enjoy.
  • Assisting clients with walking, dressing, and other activities of daily living.
  • Reporting completed activities and providing updates on clients' physical condition, mental capacity, and behavior.

Qualifications for the Early-Day Caregiver Position

To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Have a valid driver's license, valid auto insurance, reliable personal transportation, and a clean driving record.
  • Be willing to drive a reasonable distance to clients' homes.
  • Have one year of field experience as a PCA or Home Health Aide preferred. We will train the right candidates.
  • Be able to pass state and federal background checks and a drug screen.
  • Obtain a TB test and physical examination before beginning work. A hiring bonus is available to help with costs.
  • Obtain CPR and First Aid certifications. We can help with this.
  • Provide two personal references and two professional references.
  • Be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Be willing to learn new skills to better the lives of our clients.
  • Have proficient communication skills.
  • Be able to organize and prioritize assigned tasks.
