Senior Helpers - Kennewick, WA is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Team Manager to join our team in Kennewick, WA. The ideal candidate will lead and support our caregiving team to ensure exceptional care and service for our senior clients. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors while managing a dynamic team. This will include all caregiver hiring, recognition programs, training, and performance improvement. This is a Temporary position, due to extended employee leave, which could turn into FT permanent if business needs change.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the care team, ensuring quality and timely service delivery.
  • Train, mentor, and support caregivers to maintain high standards of care.
  • Develop and implement care plans tailored to each client’s needs.
  • Coordinate scheduling and communication between caregivers, clients, and their families.
  • Monitor client satisfaction and address any concerns promptly.
  • Manage team performance through regular evaluations and feedback.
  • Conduct quality assurance site checks of each caregiver to ensure care plans are being implemented correctly, policies and procedures are adhered to, and all job duties are performed in a manner that is satisfactory and meets the Senior Helpers brand expectations.
  • Create and implement morale building recognition programs for the caregivers such as S.T.A.R.S program recognition, acknowledgments of high-level performances, and training completions.
  • Reviews the daily logs and clock-in/outs to ensure that each caregiver is following the care plan and that lost hours are identified.
  • Develops and disseminates caregiver newsletter.
  • Assist with recruiting and onboarding new caregivers as needed.
  • Communicates all new hires, terminations, and inactive employees to Scheduling Manager for input into home care software.
  • Collaborate with office manager for coaching and training of internal staff members; ensure staff communications are accurate and thorough.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Adhere to federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • Previous management experience in a senior care or healthcare setting preferred.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Compassionate and patient approach to caregiving.
  • Ability to multitask and handle a fast-paced work environment.
  • Reliable transportation and the ability to travel locally as needed.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in healthcare or management a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
