ABOUT SEQERA

Seqera is on a mission to empower scientists and organizations to solve humanity's biggest challenges through data-driven science. As the company behind Nextflow and the Seqera Platform, we enable global enterprises, biotech innovators, academic institutions, and public sector organizations to scale complex data workflows with confidence.

We're a global, remote-friendly team with headquarters in Barcelona and colleagues across the US, UK, and beyond. As we continue to grow, we're strengthening our internal foundations - and that's where you come in.

Note: This role is open to candidates located in Spain or the UK.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Seqera is hiring a Business Operations Analyst to join our Business Operations team. The team owns the commercial engine behind our go-to-market: sales process, deal desk, quoting, Salesforce, sales reporting, GTM tooling, and revenue analytics. As our deal volume and complexity grow, we need someone to take over the day-to-day operations so that deals keep moving, the data stays reliable, and the team has room to build.

You will report to the Director of Revenue Operations and work every day with Sales, Finance, Customer Experience, and Marketing. Within the team, you'll partner closely with our Analytics, GTM Systems, and Marketing Operations colleagues. This is a hands-on role that covers sales operations, commercial operations, analytics, and business systems. You'll support our sales leaders and reps day to day, contribute to the delivery of GTM projects from scoping through rollout, and improve how things work as you go. You’ll enjoy this role if you like understanding how things work end to end, and you get satisfaction from fixing the cause of a problem rather than the symptom.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

PIPELINE, FORECASTING, AND REPORTING

- Support the operating cadences that keep GTM aligned, including forecast calls, pipeline and renewal reviews, and leadership QBRs, by preparing materials, tracking actions, and keeping the data accurate.

- Build and maintain Salesforce reports and dashboards, and handle ad-hoc reporting requests from across the business.

- Audit open pipeline for past-due close dates, stalled stages, and missing next steps, and follow up with owners.

SALES PROCESS AND CRM DATA

- Keep account assignments, territories, quotas, price books, and SKUs accurate, and account and contact data clean and de-duplicated.

- Monitor lead routing, stage criteria, and handoffs from SDR to AE to Customer Experience, and flag where they break down.

- Reconcile bookings with Finance, including the data behind commission calculations.

DEAL DESK AND CONTRACTS

- Review submitted quotes, and work live with AEs to structure complex deals, including multi-year commitments, step-ups, and non-standard terms.

- Keep approvals moving, and check every closed-won deal against the signed contract before it's booked.

- Track renewals, opt-out windows, and step-ups, and flag at-risk accounts and coverage gaps early.

ANALYTICS

- Answer ad-hoc questions about customers, products, and usage, analyse win/loss, conversion, sales cycle, and renewal performance, and turn the findings into clear recommendations for the commercial teams.

- Contribute to the data models and dashboards behind our revenue analytics (Snowflake, dbt, Superset), act on data quality alerts, and provide cover when the analytics lead is away.

- Review analytics pull requests to build shared context. You don't need to be a data architecture expert.

SYSTEMS AND AUTOMATION

- Make Salesforce admin changes, including fields, page layouts, validation rules, and flows, and test new changes and integrations before rollout.

- Spot recurring friction in GTM workflows, fix the root cause, and build automations, integrations, and AI workflows, including Claude skills and plugins, to remove manual work.

- Help deliver GTM projects, such as new product launches and process changes, from scoping through rollout and adoption.

- Keep commercial runbooks, process maps, system documentation, and our GTM tool inventory up to date.

TOOL SUPPORT AND ONBOARDING

- Triage questions in our GTM tool support channels, and support GTM office hours.

- Handle system setup and onboarding for new hires, including access, licenses, and approver coverage.

ABOUT YOU

EXPERIENCE AND BACKGROUND

- 2–4 years in Revenue Operations, Sales Operations, GTM Systems, Deal Desk, Business Operations, or a similar analytical role at a B2B SaaS company.

- Strong Salesforce experience: you've built reports and dashboards and you're comfortable with admin work on objects, fields, and flows. Admin certification is a plus.

- You’ve redesigned at least one commercial process end to end, such as quote approvals, renewal tracking, or lead routing. You mapped how it actually worked, documented it so others could follow, fixed where it broke, and can point to what improved (faster turnaround, fewer errors, less manual work).

- An understanding of how B2B deals work, including quotes, contracts, renewals, and ARR/TCV.

SKILLS AND APPROACH

- Detail-oriented. You notice when numbers don't reconcile and you follow it up until they do.

- Comfortable working directly with salespeople, including pushing back on a quote that isn't right.

- Organized, and able to manage a steady flow of requests alongside longer projects.

- A supportive partner who builds trust quickly with sales leaders and reps.

- Able to turn a messy business problem into a clear, practical fix.

- Clear written communication, especially in documentation and Slack.

- Curious about AI and automation, and keen to use them to remove manual work.

MINDSET

- You're low ego and happy to do the unglamorous work that keeps a revenue engine running.

- You'd rather fix the root cause than the same problem every week.

- You ask questions early and escalate when something is outside your depth.

NICE TO HAVE

- Experience with integration and automation platforms such as n8n, Workato, or Zapier.

- Experience with Hubspot as a Marketing Automation Platform.

- Basic SQL, including joins. It doesn't need to be advanced if you bring other strong skills.

- Experience with any of: a cloud data warehouse (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift), dbt, or a BI tool such as Superset.

- Experience in a commercial team.

- Experience in a startup or scale-up.

- Comfortable with AI-assisted development (for example Claude Code) for simple scripts, skills or Salesforce config changes, reviewed through our change process.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
