The posting

[What the role is]

The Building and Construction Authority (BCA) champions the development and transformation of the built environment sector, to improve Singapore’s living environment. One key transformation area is Advanced Manufacturing and Assembly (AMA) to enhance construction productivity both on-site and off-site. We strive to shape a more resilient sector, better work environment and better jobs for our workforce. We are looking for resourceful, energetic and self-motivated individuals who are inspired to play an active role to make a difference to Singapore’s built environment. If you share our passion and vision, we invite you to join us and be part of a dynamic team that plays a key role in charting the direction for a highly productive and integrated construction sector.

[What you will be working on]

Responsibilities

You will be part of the team to drive greater design standardisation and industrialised construction to improve productivity, manufacturability and scalability across the built environment sector. The role involves working closely with public agencies and industry stakeholders to develop and implement a comprehensive design standardisation strategy. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing strategies, frameworks and initiatives to drive greater standardisation and adoption of Kit-of-Parts (KoP) across construction projects
  • Working with developers, consultants, contractors, manufacturers and other industry stakeholders to develop practical and manufacturable standardised solutions that enable repeatability, interoperability and wider adoption across projects
  • Translating the KoP into a digital playbook and design tools that enable designers to efficiently configure and customise projects using standardised components
  • Promoting portfolio-level standardisation among developers and project owners to achieve productivity gains, cost efficiencies, improved quality, and supply chain optimisation
  • Keeping abreast of emerging technologies, industry practices and international developments in modularisation, industrialised construction, and advanced manufacturing

[What we are looking for]

Requirements

  • At least two years of experience in the built environment sector, preferably in capacity of a developer, design consultant or main contractor.
  • A bachelor’s degree in construction / project management, architecture, engineering, or other built environment-related disciplines
  • Good understanding of building design, construction processes and/or Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DfMA)
  • Strong analytical, communication, writing and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders across different parts of the construction value chain
  • Resourceful and able to work independently as well as collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams, with a positive and implementation-oriented mindset

Successful candidates will be offered contract employment. Interested applicants, please apply online.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
