[What the role is]

This is a 2-year contract position as a Lead in the School of InfoComm Technology.

This role combines business development, strategic account management, client success, and operational oversight. The successful candidate will identify new business opportunities, develop and manage key corporate accounts, and oversee the end-to-end client journey from initial engagement through programme delivery and post-training follow-up.

As the primary relationship owner for assigned accounts, the candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders to deliver a high-quality client experience and achieve sustained account growth. In addition, the candidate will support business development efforts through client presentations, solution pitches, taster sessions, masterclasses and selected training engagements, serving as an ambassador for the School's CET offerings.

[What you will be working on]

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

1. Business Development & Partnership Growth

  • Identify and develop business opportunities with companies, public agencies, industry associations and strategic partners.
  • Engage clients to understand workforce development needs and recommend suitable techskills training programmes, learning pathways and customised training solutions.
  • Develop proposals, training recommendations and partnership opportunities to support account growth and client acquisition.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and represent the School at client meetings, networking events and industry engagements.
  • Drive growth through cross-selling, upselling, learning pathway progression and long-term partnership development.

2. Account Management & Client Success

  • Serve as the primary relationship manager for assigned corporate accounts.
  • Manage the full client lifecycle from initial engagement and proposal development to programme completion and post-training follow-up.
  • Conduct regular client engagements to understand evolving business needs and identify opportunities for repeat business and account expansion.
  • Act as the key escalation point for client concerns and ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Monitor client satisfaction and continuously enhance the overall client and learner experience.

3. Programme Operations & Service Delivery

  • Oversee the successful operational delivery of CET engagements from confirmation through programme completion.
  • Coordinate with academic and administrative teams to ensure smooth programme planning and execution.
  • Manage programme schedules, learner enrolment, stakeholder communications, delivery logistics and operational readiness.
  • Monitor project milestones and delivery commitments to ensure programmes are delivered according to client expectations.

4. Industry Engagement & Learning Advocacy

  • Conduct sales pitches, programme briefings and solution presentations for prospective clients and partners.
  • Design and facilitate taster sessions, webinars, masterclasses and other outreach activities to generate interest in Techskills programmes.
  • Facilitate selected short courses, workshops or customised training engagements where required.
  • Work with academic teams to translate industry challenges into practical learning and workforce development solutions.
  • Gather market intelligence and client insights to support programme enhancement, portfolio growth and strategic outreach initiatives.

Interested candidates should note that the role may require occasional evening and weekend support for client engagements, networking activities, outreach events and training delivery.

In addition to the above, other duties may be assigned as required.

[What we are looking for]

  • Knowledge and understanding of ICT domains and able to communicate complex tech concepts in clear, practical and accessible terms to business leaders, HR professionals and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to understand workforce development needs and translate them into impactful training and workforce solutions.
  • Strong follow-through, organisational and execution skills, with the ability to manage multiple client engagements from opportunity development through programme delivery and post-engagement follow-up.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills, with confidence engaging senior industry, enterprise and public-sector stakeholders.
  • Proven track record in developing business opportunities, managing corporate accounts and building long-term strategic partnerships.
  • Relevant qualifications and experience in ICT-related fields (e.g. AI, Data, Cloud, Cybersecurity, Digital Transformation) combined with experience in business development, account management, partnership development or consultative sales.
  • Experience in continuing education, workforce development or professional training is advantageous. Experience facilitating workshops, masterclasses or short courses and knowledge of emerging technology trends would be a plus.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
