The posting

[What the role is]

The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore’s raison d’etre is to develop the air hub and aviation industry in Singapore, expanding Singapore’s links to the rest of the world. We enable opportunities through aviation, making connections, opening doors, and enabling choices in people’s lives.

Responsibilities

The Price Regulation team ensures that Singapore remains a price competitive air hub, and that our airport licensees are financially sustainable and incentivised to operate our airports efficiently and innovatively.

[What you will be working on]

Your responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring that the Singapore air hub remains price competitive, through the regular review and implementation of the pricing regulatory frameworks for Changi and Seletar Airports, as well as the funding framework for the Changi East development/Terminal 5.
  • Ensuring that our airport licensees are financially sustainable, through the analysis and assessment of their financial performances, including revenue and cost drivers.
  • Safeguarding and advancing Singapore’s aviation interests internationally on economic regulation matters, by keeping abreast of developments at ICAO and developing positions and interventions for Singapore where necessary.
  • Managing key aviation stakeholder accounts, in particular our airport licensees, through the regular review of airport economic regulation legislation, conditions and other regulatory matters.

[What we are looking for]

Requirements

  • Excellent analytical, critical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent writing and communications skills.
  • Competent in use of powerpoint, excel, and word.
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, good team player.
  • Training in Economics, Business Administration or Accounting, or experience in economic regulation preferred. However, candidates trained in other disciplines and have a keen interest in policy work may be considered.

Note: Your appointment designation will be commensurate with your relevant work experience. Successful candidates will be offered a contract in the first instance and may be considered for placement on a permanent tenure or subsequent contract renewal.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
