Part-Time Accounts Receivable & Collections Specialist ($20–$21/hr, Flexible Hours)

Do you like solving problems, following through and getting paid what’s owed? Shamrock Roofing & Construction is hiring a part-time Accounts Receivable & Collections Specialist for our Kansas City headquarters. You’ll make sure our completed roofing projects get paid by working with insurance companies, homeowners and our Project Managers.

We’re a family-owned roofing and construction company that has served Kansas City since 1977. We’ve grown across the Midwest with locations in Nebraska, Iowa, Oklahoma, Missouri and Arkansas, and we’ve kept the family-owned feel.

What You’ll Do

  • Follow up with insurance companies on pending payments for completed projects
  • Act as the go-between for Project Managers, insurance companies and homeowners
  • Set up payment plans with homeowners when needed
  • Find hard-to-reach debtors and start the recovery process
  • Keep clear, accurate records of all communications and transactions
  • Help with related back-office work such as invoicing and permits/licensing
  • Take on other duties as assigned

What We Offer

  • $20–$21 per hour
  • Part-time, in-office schedule: Monday–Friday, 25–30 hours a week, with flexible hours

Requirements

You’ll do well here if you:

  • Are persistent and politely relentless; you don’t let a “no” from an insurance company be the final answer
  • Like solving problems and finding new ways to get a result
  • Think on your feet and adapt easily
  • Stay organized and meet hard deadlines
  • Bring a positive, can-do attitude

Nice to have (not required):

  • Experience in collections, accounts receivable or insurance claims
  • Working knowledge of Google Workspace (G Suite)
