Job Description

Shaner Hotels is seeking an experienced Director of Sales to lead our sales efforts, develop new business opportunities, and drive the continued success at the AC Hotel Dayton. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all sales and marketing initiatives to maximize revenue, occupancy, and profitability.
  • Develop new business while growing relationships with corporate accounts, associations, tour groups, sports teams, and other key market segments.
  • Identify new revenue opportunities and create targeted sales strategies, promotions, and packages.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships within the local business and tourism community.
  • Represent the hotel at trade shows, networking events, and industry functions.
  • Develop and manage the Sales Department budget while achieving financial goals.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager and department leaders to ensure seamless operations and outstanding guest satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive sales experience, preferably in hospitality.
  • Previous hotel sales leadership experience; Marriott experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Knowledge of hotel operations, sales and marketing strategies, and local market conditions.
  • Experience developing budgets, forecasting revenue, and achieving sales targets.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, as business needs require.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain an acceptable driving record.
