Job Description
Position Summary
The Supervisor of Radiology is responsible for organization and implementation of systems and procedures for the functioning of the Radiology Department. This involves consideration for the scope of care provided by the department, preparation and maintenance of the department budget, recruitment, retention, and training of staff, and coordination and integration of services within the department and in conjunction with other departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate ability to function in the Radiologic Technologist role for pediatric patients.
- Verify patient information, reviewing and recording treatment provided.
- Demonstrates Competency with radiology equipment.
- Prepare patients for examination/procedures.
- Monitor patients during procedures as required.
- Documents information as required.
- Assist physicians with examinations, procedures or other patient care activities.
- Monitor and control the environment.
- Provide equipment and supplies in a cost-effective manner based on the patient's needs.
- Ensure patient's rights.
- Participate in patient/family teaching based on the developmental age of patient.
- Orient, instruct, and train assigned personnel.
- Applies radiation safety practices as designated in Federal and State Radiation Control Regulations.
- Perform actions that demonstrate accountability.
- In accordance with the Shriners Children's philosophy, present behaviors and actions which create a high level of customer service to patients, visitors, physicians, vendors and clinic staff.
- Demonstrate behaviors and actions which support the mission, goals and operations of Shriners Children's that also contribute to continuous service improvement.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Leadership Experience Radiology Technologist license in state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
Preferred Qualifications
- Management/Supervisory in Diagnostic Imaging
- Clinical expertise in Pediatric Orthopedics

Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
