  • Prepare, process, and send referrals, requisitions, and other medical correspondence as directed by the healthcare team.
  • Coordinate referral management by tracking specialist responses, monitoring outstanding referrals, and arranging follow-up appointments as needed.
  • Sort, file, scan, and maintain medical documentation, including incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and electronic correspondence.
  • Assist with collecting urine samples and performing basic urinalysis when requested and appropriately trained.
  • Support immunization and injection clinics through preparation, documentation, and other assigned administrative tasks.

  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to support coordinated, patient-centred care and efficient clinic operations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support the effective delivery of primary healthcare services.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a recognized Medical Office Assistant program or equivalent training.
  • Six months to two years of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is considered an asset.
  • Experience using Accuro EMR, particularly in a Saskatchewan healthcare setting, is a strong asset.
  • Previous experience in family medicine, primary healthcare, or a multidisciplinary medical clinic is preferred.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and electronic documentation systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and compassionately with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize competing demands and maintain accuracy in a busy clinical environment.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, professionalism, discretion, and commitment to protecting confidential patient information.
  • Ability to manage high volumes of telephone calls, patient inquiries, and administrative tasks while maintaining a courteous and patient-focused approach.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and the ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, referral processes, medical billing, and clinical office procedures is an asset.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification is considered an asset.
  • Willingness and ability to perform assigned clinical support duties in accordance with clinic protocols, training, and applicable infection prevention and control requirements.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
