Role Overview

We are hiring a Senior Full Stack Engineer to design, build, and scale high-performance web applications and backend systems. You will play a central role in crafting an end-to-end learner experience from blazing-fast, intuitive UIs to resilient, cloud-native backend services.

This is not just a coding role: you’ll own features end-to-end, make critical architecture choices, and collaborate closely with our founding team, PMs, and designers. Your work will directly impact how millions of students learn and succeed.

Responsibilities

  • Build, scale, and own core frontend systems.
  • Implement responsive, accessible, and intuitive UIs that work across devices and browsers.
  • Set up and maintain error logging, monitoring, and analytics instrumentation.
  • Collaborate with PMs, designers, and engineers to ship student-facing features.
  • Drive high-quality, high-speed execution in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Ensure reliability through automated testing pipelines (unit, integration, end-to-end).

Must-Have Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Strong expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript across both frontend and backend.
  • Solid understanding of React (or Next.js/Vue) and modern CSS frameworks (Tailwind, Styled Components).
  • Backend experience with Node.js/Express or similar frameworks.
  • Proficiency in cloud-native deployments with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure and/or AWS (App Services, VMs, S3, App Config, etc.).
  • Familiarity with analytics and monitoring tools (e.g., Sentry, Datadog, Mixpanel)
  • Ability to debug, profile, and optimise applications for scale and performance.

Nice-to-Have

  • Background in early-stage startups or 0→1 product development.
  • Experience leading projects or mentoring junior engineers.
  • Familiarity with GraphQL, SSR frameworks (Next.js), and modern build tools (Vite, Webpack).
  • Exposure to databases (SQL + NoSQL), caching, and message queues.
  • Contributions to open-source projects or public repos showcasing full-stack work.
  • Strong product intuition and ability to scope and ship fast experiments.

Perks & Benefits

  • Competitive cash plus equity package.
  • Direct mentorship from experienced product and engineering leaders.
  • Your work ships fast and impacts students directly.
  • Chance to work on AI-powered education at the bleeding edge of tech.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
