The posting

The person in this role will design, develop, and maintain systems that collect, transform, and load raw data from various sources into centralized warehouses for analysis. They will create data pipelines and optimize SQL-driven models. Key responsibilities include leveraging SQL, Python, ETL tools, and platforms like Databricks or SQL Server for data integration and reporting.

Data Integration & ETL: Building and maintaining data pipelines to move data from source systems to warehouses

20%

Modeling & Optimization: Developing semantic models, complex SQL queries, and data sets for performance and accuracy

5%

Collaboration: Working with Cloud Architects, Reporting Team and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions

 

 

Qualifications and preferred skills (Qualifications, Skills, Education or Certification Requirements, etc.)

Education/Certification Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a Computer Science related field or equivalent work experience

Qualifications and Experience Requirements

Minimum 5 years experience with ETL Design, Data Warehousing, or developing Business Intelligence solutions Experience working in a global environment and with remote and distributed teams Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills Ability to operate in a self-directed environment Minimum 5 years experience with:

Languages: SQL, Python Data Transformation Tools: Azure Data Factory, Visual Studio SSIS, Databricks Data Warehousing/Cloud Architecture: Databricks, Azure, SQL Server, Microsoft Fabric Version Control: Git, Azure DevOps

Position Title: Developer Salary Range: $92,000-$108,000 CAD  Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package that includes choice of two Medical plans and two dental plans; Retirement plan, RRSP employer match (after 1 year), Life & Disability Insurance, and more. Benefits are based on employment status and may not be available for temporary or non full-time employees

  Salary ranges may vary based on location, market conditions, and other factors such as experience and qualifications. The final compensation will be determined during the hiring process based on these considerations.   For positions available outside Canada, salaries will take into account local currency and market conditions, which may differ from the CAD salary range. If you have any questions about salary or benefits, we encourage you to ask during the hiring process.
