This role offers a structured pathway to launch and accelerate your pre-sales career. You will partner directly with seasoned Sales Engineers and SE leadership who have scaled high-growth enterprise software companies. If you come from an implementation, technical support, or technical account management background, this role gives you the mentorship, training, and customer-facing exposure needed to sharpen your commercial acumen and technical depth in embedded analytics and AI.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL

- Partner with Account Executives (AEs): Serve as the core technical resource across the deal cycle, proving the architectural and business value of Sisense to prospects.

- Lead Technical Discovery: Assist with and conduct discovery sessions with product managers, software engineers, and data leaders to uncover technical pain points and scope requirements.

- Build Proof of Concepts (PoCs): Design, configure, and deliver tailored technical assets and trial environments using the Sisense platform, REST APIs, and JavaScript/React SDKs.

- Create Reusable Demo Assets: Develop interactive dashboard prototypes, custom component examples, and technical documentation to assist the broader commercial team.

- Ensure Smooth Handoffs: Collaborate closely with Customer Success and Professional Services to transition closed deals with complete technical context and implementation notes.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

- 1–3 years of experience in a customer-facing technical role, such as Associate/Junior Solutions Engineering, Technical Support, Implementation Consulting, Solutions Architecture, or Technical Account Management.

- Hands-on proficiency with SQL, including writing queries, understanding relational database structures, and joining disparate data models.

- Working knowledge of web technologies: Ability to read and modify JavaScript (React, Angular, or Vue), inspect web elements, and work with REST APIs and JSON payloads.

- Clear technical communication: Proven ability to translate complex architectural concepts into plain language for both technical (developers, data engineers) and non-technical (executives, product leaders) audiences.

- Curiosity and coachability: A growth mindset with a proactive approach to learning enterprise SaaS sales methodologies, data modeling, and product analytics.

NICE TO HAVE

- Hands-on scripting experience in Python or backend languages.

- Familiarity with embedded analytics architectures, webhooks, or SSO/authentication protocols (SAML, JWT, OAuth).

- Experience with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or Databricks).

- Foundational understanding of generative AI patterns, LLM orchestration, or natural language querying (NLQ).

HOW YOU’LL RAMP

- By Day 30:

- Complete Sisense platform and architecture onboarding.

- Understand the end-to-end sales lifecycle, buyer personas, and technical qualification framework.

- Shadow customer discovery calls and deliver your first internal certification demo.

- By Day 60:

- Join the active demo rotation and assist AEs with technical qualification and RFI/RFP responses.

- Co-build customized trial environments and PoCs alongside senior Sales Engineers.

- Troubleshoot prospect integration questions involving REST APIs and SDK embedding.

- By Day 90:

- Independently lead standard technical discovery sessions and product demonstrations for your assigned pipeline.

- Own technical trial workflows from initial scoping to technical win.

- Contribute a new reusable demo asset or integration guide to the internal SE repository.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

- New York City Base Salary Range: $75,000 – $104,000 / year.

- Total Compensation (OTE): In addition to base salary, this role includes a variable sales commission plan based on achievements.

- Note: The salary range above reflects base compensation specifically for candidates located within New York City. Base pay for candidates located outside of NYC across the East Coast will be benchmarked to their specific geographic market tier and local cost of labor.
