ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are looking for a Director of Product Design to shape the vision, direction, and quality of product design across Sitecore.

This is a senior leadership role for someone who can set a clear design direction, raise the quality bar, and build a strong design culture while remaining close to customers, product decisions, and the work itself.

You will partner closely with Product Management and Engineering leadership to translate customer needs and business strategy into cohesive, intuitive, and differentiated product experiences.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

SET THE DESIGN VISION AND RAISE THE QUALITY BAR

- Define and drive the product design vision and strategy in alignment with Sitecore's product strategy, customer needs, and business objectives

- Establish a high bar for design quality, usability, accessibility, and consistency across our product portfolio

- Bring clarity to complex enterprise workflows, helping customers accomplish their goals through intuitive, connected experiences

- Influence product direction by identifying customer problems, challenging assumptions, and exploring opportunities beyond the immediate roadmap

- Remain close to the work through design reviews, customer conversations, prototyping, and collaboration on high-impact product challenges

CHAMPION CUSTOMER-CENTERED DESIGN

- Lead customer discovery and research to understand user needs, behaviors, pain points, and workflows

- Translate customer insights into clear design principles, product opportunities, and actionable recommendations

- Drive the end-to-end design process, including interaction design, information architecture, wireframing, prototyping, usability testing, and delivery

- Use qualitative and quantitative insights to validate design decisions and continuously improve product experiences

- Champion accessibility and inclusive design, ensuring our products work effectively for diverse users and needs

PARTNER ACROSS PRODUCT AND ENGINEERING

- Build strong, trusted partnerships with Product Management and Engineering leaders, embedding design throughout product discovery, planning, and delivery

- Connect design decisions to customer outcomes, product adoption, usability, retention, and broader business impact

- Balance customer needs, technical constraints, commercial priorities, and delivery considerations to achieve the best overall outcomes

- Influence strategic decisions through clear communication, evidence-based recommendations, and compelling design narratives

- Drive alignment across product teams to ensure experiences feel cohesive across products, platforms, and connected workflows

BUILD AND SCALE DESIGN CAPABILITIES

- Attract and retain strong design talent, building the capabilities and organizational structure needed as the business evolves

- Effectively lead and collaborate with distributed teams across locations and time zones

- Establish and evolve design systems, reusable components, shared patterns, and design standards that improve consistency and accelerate delivery

- Foster a culture of collaboration, experimentation, accountability, constructive feedback, and continuous learning

- Advocate for design as a strategic capability and ensure its voice is represented in senior product and business discussions

EXPLORE AI-ENABLED PRODUCT EXPERIENCES

- Identify opportunities to use AI to simplify complex workflows, improve productivity, and create more personalized and intelligent product experiences

- Partner with Product and Engineering to explore, prototype, and validate emerging AI-enabled capabilities

- Apply strong design judgment to experiences involving AI, including user trust, transparency, human control, and clear feedback

- Help establish design approaches that balance innovation with usability, reliability, accessibility, and customer confidence

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

- Significant experience in product design, UX, or interaction design within a technology or software product company, including leadership responsibility for design teams or functions

- Proven experience leading design across complex B2B SaaS, enterprise software, or platform products, ideally spanning multiple products, user personas, and connected workflows

- A track record of setting design direction, raising quality standards, and influencing product strategy while remaining close to customers and design execution

- Strong expertise in customer discovery, interaction design, information architecture, prototyping, usability testing, design systems, and accessibility

- Demonstrated ability to connect design decisions to customer value, product outcomes, and business objectives

- Experience building, hiring, developing, and leading high-performing design teams, including distributed or cross-functional teams

- Strong partnership skills, with the ability to influence Product Management, Engineering, and senior stakeholders without relying solely on formal authority

- Experience simplifying complex user journeys and translating technical capabilities into intuitive, accessible experiences

- Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to articulate design rationale, build alignment, and influence decisions at senior levels

- Experience designing AI-enabled products or intelligent workflows is a strong advantage

- A portfolio demonstrating design leadership, strategic thinking, design craft, and measurable impact on real products and customers

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?

No. You pay once per CV, from $25. Every application goes out with its own CV, written for that posting.
