The successful candidate will play a lead role in conducting and overseeing due diligence activities supporting asset-based financing facilities, warehouse lending transactions, portfolio acquisitions, and securitizations across consumer and specialty finance asset classes.

This individual will be responsible for evaluating collateral quality, reviewing operational and compliance controls, assessing third-party diligence and audit reports, and providing independent risk assessments throughout the transaction lifecycle. The role requires extensive interaction with originators, servicers, lenders, auditors, legal counsel, and transaction stakeholders.

Position Overview

The Vice President will lead due diligence reviews related to collateral, operational processes, servicing practices, and regulatory compliance for financing and securitization transactions. The candidate will be expected to identify risks, challenge assumptions, evaluate third-party reviews, and communicate findings and recommendations to senior business and risk stakeholders.

Essential Job Functions

  • Lead due diligence reviews for asset-based financing facilities, warehouse lending transactions, portfolio acquisitions, and securitizations.
  • Review and assess third-party Agreed-Upon Procedures (AUP) reports, audit reports, collateral examinations, and verification testing.
  • Evaluate collateral eligibility, ownership, perfection, borrowing base methodologies, concentration limits, and advance rate assumptions.
  • Perform detailed reviews of borrowing base certificates, collateral tapes, performance data, and reporting packages.
  • Assess operational, servicing, underwriting, collections, and compliance controls of originators and servicers.
  • Identify collateral, operational, regulatory, and reporting risks and provide recommendations to mitigate identified issues.
  • Coordinate with originators, servicers, auditors, consultants, and legal counsel to resolve diligence findings and obtain required documentation.
  • Prepare and present due diligence reports, key findings, and risk assessments to banking, trading, financing, and risk management teams.
  • Monitor existing financing facilities for covenant compliance, collateral performance, and emerging risks.
  • Maintain expertise in structured finance documentation, financing agreements, servicing agreements, securitization documents, and market practices.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in due diligence, structured finance, ABS, asset-based financing, collateral risk management, or related fields.
  • Strong experience reviewing AUP reports, operational audits, collateral examinations, and third-party diligence reviews.
  • Experience evaluating borrowing bases, collateral eligibility criteria, asset verification testing, and financing covenant compliance.
  • Strong understanding of consumer lending products and ABS asset classes, including personal loans, point-of-sale loans, home improvement loans, solar loans, auto finance, and specialty finance assets.
  • Experience assessing underwriting, servicing, collections, compliance, and operational controls.
  • Ability to analyze large datasets and identify material collateral, operational, and regulatory risks.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present findings to senior management and transaction stakeholders.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and project management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting asset-based financing facilities and ongoing collateral monitoring programs.
  • Familiarity with collateral field examinations, portfolio audits, and financing surveillance.
  • Experience interacting with rating agencies, lenders, auditors, and third-party diligence firms.
  • RMBS due diligence, mortgage servicing, or securitization experience is a plus.
  • Experience across multiple ABS asset classes preferred.

Key Focus Areas: Due Diligence • AUP Review • Borrowing Base Testing • Collateral Eligibility Review • Financing Monitoring • Operational Risk Assessment • Servicer Reviews • Regulatory Compliance • ABS Financing • Securitization

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
