Main Responsibilities:

  1. Own the assigned ETLs in the inherited BI estate: their schedules, their Snowflake cost and the governed deployment path that replaces manual deployment.
  2. Implement BI and accounting work in the data lake from Analytics specifications through the five-step process, starting with roll-up tables and transaction verification.
  3. Handle the data engineering side of audit and SOX requests: Snowflake and Airflow user lists, quarterly attestation evidence, finance table changes.
  4. Release and support owned pipelines end to end, including on-call, with no dependency on US-based teams.

Key Competencies:

  1. Strong proficiency in SQL and Python
  2. Hands-on production experience with Data warehouses (eg: Snowflake)
  3. Built out ETL and ELT pipelines using tools like Debezium, DMS, Streamsets, or DBT
  4. Experience with job orchestration tools such as Airflow and Jenkins
  5. Data stream processing with tools such as Kafka, Spark, or Flink
  6. Off hours on-call experience
  7. Experience with recognized industry patterns, methodologies, and techniques

Extra Credit:

  1. Strong Java experience
  2. Built out segmentation platforms
  3. Supported Business Intelligence, Finance or User Acquisition functions
  4. ML experience

Experience:

  1. BA/BS in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  2. 3+ years Data Engineering experience
