RELIABILITY & MAINTENANCE ENGINEER | DSL-01

As Reliability & Maintenance Engineer DSL-01, you are responsible for building and continuously improving the facility's maintenance, reliability, and asset integrity framework. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you help ensure the plant operates safely, reliably, and efficiently.

The role starts with a strong Maintenance Engineering focus. Your priority will be to help establish the maintenance and reliability foundation of DSL-01 by answering a fundamental question: "how do we maintain our assets safely, reliably, and efficiently throughout their lifecycle?"

You will translate reliability studies, equipment criticality assessments, and integrity requirements into practical maintenance plans, inspection programmes, spare parts strategies, and asset management processes.

As the facility moves into stable operations, the focus gradually shifts towards Reliability Engineering, where you will use asset health monitoring, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement to prevent failures and improve long-term asset performance.

Working closely with operations, maintenance, engineering, and external specialists, you will help reduce technical risk and improve asset reliability from day one.

You will:

- Develop and continuously improve maintenance, inspection, and asset integrity strategies

- Translate reliability studies, FMECA analyses, and engineering data into practical maintenance plans within the CMMS/EAM system

- Act as owner of the asset register from a maintenance, reliability, and integrity perspective

- Support the implementation and continuous development of the facility's CMMS/EAM system

- Drive reliability improvements through asset health monitoring, KPI analysis, and predictive maintenance techniques

- Lead Root Cause Analyses (RCA) and implement sustainable corrective actions

- Monitor and improve reliability performance indicators such as MTBF, MTTR, availability, and inspection compliance

- Support asset improvement, modification, and long-term replacement strategies throughout the asset lifecycle

YOUR PROFILE

As a growing company in a rapidly evolving industry, we are looking for people who embrace change and are motivated to actively contribute to building and scaling our business. - Experience with CMMS/EAM implementation or optimisation

- Experience with predictive maintenance and condition monitoring

- Knowledge of ATEX, PED, and asset integrity management

ABOUT DSL-01

DSL-01 is SkyNRG’s frontrunning renewable fuels facility in Delfzijl, Netherlands. The plant will produce Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) from residual fats and greases using the HEFA (Hydrotreated Esters and Fatty Acids) pathway, with additional renewable products like butane, propane, and naphtha as by-products.

DSL-01 is the first facility in Europe dedicated entirely to SAF and its by-products. Once operational, it will produce 100,000 tonnes of SAF and 35,000 tonnes of sustainable by-products per year, cutting greenhouse gas emissions by around 80% compared to conventional jet fuel.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
