About the Job

The Finance Operations Specialist supports day-to-day finance operations across Slide's US, UK, Australian, and Canadian entities. This role works closely with Finance, Legal, Sales, Product, Engineering, and Operations and owns the operational side of billing, collections, accounts payable, and corporate cards: making sure billing requests are handled accurately and on time, collections are consistently worked, vendors and cardholders are supported, and internal teams have clear visibility into account status and open items. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, responsive, and comfortable working across multiple systems and priorities.

Responsibilities

Billing & Collections

- Support subscription and billing activities using Stripe and Slide's proprietary billing systems.

- Process device buyouts, non-standard cancellations, credits, refunds, coupons, and pricebook updates.

- Log and track billing requests in Slide's ticketing system, ensuring appropriate approvals are obtained before changes are made.

- Investigate billing discrepancies and coordinate with the appropriate teams to resolve them.

- Collect, validate, and maintain resale certificates and other customer tax-exemption documentation.

- Manage customer collections, including outreach, follow-up, payment plans, and escalation of past-due accounts.

- Escalate exceptions and requests that fall outside established policies or approval authority.

- Maintain clear documentation and audit trails for billing changes.

Reporting & Analysis

- Maintain reporting on invoices, payments, outstanding balances, and collections performance for internal stakeholders.

- Monitor billing and collections data to identify accounts requiring action.

- Investigate discrepancies and surface trends or recurring operational issues.

- Support ad hoc billing and collections analysis as needed.

Accounts Payable, Corporate Cards & Tax Support

- Process vendor invoices through Ramp, including coding, approvals, PO matching, and payments.

- Maintain vendor records and tax documentation (W-9/W-8), respond to vendor inquiries, and support annual US 1099 reporting.

- Administer Slide's corporate card program in Ramp, including issuing physical and virtual cards, cardholder updates, and spending limits.

- Review card transactions and employee reimbursements for proper coding, receipts, business-purpose memos, and approvals; follow up with employees on missing documentation and questions.

- Support month-end close, including AP and card reconciliations, vendor statement reviews, and accrual support.

- Support Sales Tax, VAT, and GST filings by gathering data, reconciling information, and coordinating with internal and external tax advisors.

Cross-Functional Support

- Partner with Finance, Legal, Sales, Product, Engineering, and Operations to resolve billing, collections, AP, and payment issues.

- Identify process gaps and recommend improvements, including opportunities to automate manual work.

- Support finance operations across multiple entities, currencies, and jurisdictions.

Systems

- Stripe Billing: subscriptions, invoicing, credits, refunds, pricing, and coupons

- Proprietary systems: customer, subscription, and billing data

- Ticketing, reporting, and basic query tools

- Ramp: AP, POs, vendor payments, reimbursements, and corporate cards

- QuickBooks Online: general ledger

Qualifications

- 2+ years of experience in billing operations, accounts receivable, collections, finance operations, revenue operations, or a related role

- Experience in accounts payable or general accounting is a plus

- Experience with Ramp, Stripe, or similar financial systems is preferred

- Experience supporting multiple entities, currencies, or international operations is preferred

- Familiarity with Sales Tax, VAT, or GST is a plus

- Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills (lookups, pivot tables)

- Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through

- Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

- Comfortable working independently while collaborating across teams

Benefits

- Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage

- Paid Time Off: Generous paid time off and holiday schedule

- Retirement Plan: 401(k)

- Professional Development: Opportunities for training and professional growth

- The opportunity to do your life's work in a dynamic and creative environment with likeminded individuals

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
