The posting

Context -

Slo. is looking for an energy consultant with a solid technical background in engineering and a strong interest in data and business analysis. You’ll work on impactful projects in the energy sector, including:

  • Smart Grid and Smart Metering
  • Sustainable energy production and optimization
  • Energy market flexibility and adequacy
  • Forecasting for energy asset management
  • Energy efficiency and digital transformation initiatives

Key responsibilities -

  • Engage with stakeholders to understand business and technical requirements
  • Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications
  • Analyze and model current processes, identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Conduct gap and impact analysis
  • Coordinate testing, deployment, and change management activities
  • Act as a bridge between business, IT, and engineering teams

What you will bring -

  • Master’s Degree in Electromechanical, Mechanical, Industrial Electronics, or Energy Engineering
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the energy sector, preferably in consulting or project-based roles
  • Strong analytical mindset with proven experience in business or process analysis
  • Familiarity with Smart Grid, metering systems, energy regulation, or market operations
  • Programming skills in Python or any other language are a plus

Language requirements -

  • Fluency in French and/or Dutch, with a strong willingness to improve the second language
  • Proficiency in English is required

Skills and attributes

  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and adapt to evolving project contexts
  • Strong motivation to contribute to the energy transition and the development of modern energy systems
  • Excellent communication skills: ability to structure ideas, write concise documentation, and manage multiple topics simultaneously
  • Autonomy, curiosity, analytical thinking, and team spirit
