CDL-A Regional Hazmat Driver – Laredo, TX

Earn an average of $100,000 per year hauling palletized auto batteries on regional routes from Laredo, Texas, primarily to Phoenix, Arizona, and back. Get paid $27.50 per hour plus overtime after 40 hours, with weekly home time and assistance obtaining your hazmat endorsement.

Job Details

  • Regional dry van operation hauling auto batteries
  • Transport palletized batteries and pick up returned battery cores
  • Deliver freight using an electric pallet jack
  • Operate late-model Freightliner tractors with liftgate trailers
  • Hazmat endorsement required within 60 days of hire
  • Assistance is available to obtain the hazmat endorsement
  • Benefits include health, vision, dental, life and disability insurance, prescription coverage, paid time off, holiday pay, vacation, and 401(k) matching

Job Requirements

  • Valid Class A CDL
  • Minimum 9 months of tractor-trailer experience within the past 3 years
  • Must obtain a hazmat endorsement within 60 days of hire
  • Must be at least 22 years old
  • No more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years, subject to restrictions
  • No more than 1 DOT-recordable preventable accident in the past 3 years
  • FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse profile required before hire
  • Must meet English-language requirements for communication, reading traffic signs, responding to official inquiries, and completing reports and records
  • Clean driving record
  • Valid DOT Medical Card
  • No SAP drivers
  • Must be able to safely operate liftgate equipment and electric pallet jacks
