This opportunity is well suited to an accounting professional who values accuracy, accountability, and timely financial reporting.

Accountabilities

  • Accounts Payable Management: Process and manage accounts payable invoices in Procore and Sage, ensuring accurate entries and timely processing.
  • AIA Billing and Invoicing: Prepare and post AIA invoices in Sage, maintaining accurate billing records and supporting construction project financial workflows.
  • Job and Contract Administration: Create jobs and job contracts in Sage for both construction and consulting divisions, ensuring that project information is complete and accurate.
  • Change Order Management: Create, update, and manage change orders in Sage, maintaining consistency between project documentation and accounting records.
  • Timesheet Review: Review and approve weekly timesheets in Sage, verifying accuracy and ensuring appropriate allocation of labor costs.
  • Special and Maintenance Project Billing: Prepare project invoices using Excel and Sage, ensuring billing information is accurate and complete.
  • Consulting and A&E Billing: Review timesheet reports for appropriate task allocation, collect billing information from department heads, and prepare draft invoices for internal review.
  • Client Invoicing and Financial Records: Finalize and send approved invoices to clients, post transactions in Sage, and maintain organized accounting documentation.
  • Workflow Coordination: Manage multiple accounting activities independently, prioritize deadlines, and communicate with relevant stakeholders to resolve billing discrepancies and maintain efficient operations.
  • Accounting Experience: At least 3 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in construction accounting or project-based financial operations.
  • Sage Expertise: Hands-on experience with Sage is required, including invoice processing, project setup, contract administration, change orders, and billing.
  • AIA Billing: Practical experience with AIA billing processes is required, including preparing and posting construction invoices.
  • Procore Knowledge: Experience using Procore for accounts payable invoice processing and construction project financial workflows is preferred.
  • Construction Accounting Knowledge: Understanding of construction accounting processes, project costs, job contracts, change orders, and project-based invoicing is strongly preferred.
  • Excel Proficiency: Ability to use Excel to prepare, organize, and review project invoices and billing information.
  • Consulting and A&E Billing: Familiarity with timesheet allocation, departmental billing reports, draft invoice preparation, and client invoicing is an advantage.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong numerical accuracy and the ability to maintain reliable financial records and identify discrepancies.
  • Communication Skills: Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with internal teams and other stakeholders.
  • Time Management and Independence: Ability to manage multiple accounting tasks, work independently, prioritize competing deadlines, and deliver accurate work on schedule.
  • Remote Work: Work remotely from India.
  • Professional Opportunity: Gain hands-on experience supporting construction and consulting accounting operations.
  • Practical Systems Experience: Work with established accounting and project management platforms, including Sage and Procore.
  • Varied Responsibilities: Develop expertise across accounts payable, AIA billing, project accounting, contract administration, and client invoicing.
  • Independent Ownership: Take responsibility for a range of accounting workflows while collaborating with relevant teams.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
