Company Description

Why work for UKTC Certification?

United Kingdom Testing and Certification (UKTC) is an independent testing and certification organisation helping manufacturers demonstrate that their products and systems meet the required standards for safety, performance and quality.

Certification is a key and growing part of UKTC. By bringing testing, technical expertise and third-party certification together, we can support manufacturers throughout the entire process, from initial testing and technical evidence through to certification and ongoing assurance.

Our work spans a range of products and systems across the built environment, with a strong focus on fire safety and performance. As standards, regulations and expectations continue to evolve, independent certification has an increasingly important role in providing confidence in the products being placed on the market.

UKTC Certification is continuing to grow, developing new schemes, expanding our existing services and working with manufacturers across the UK and internationally.

Our aim is simple: to provide technically robust, independent certification that manufacturers can trust and the wider industry can have confidence in.

Job Description

As Scheme Manager at United Kingdom Testing & Certification (UKTC), you will have overall responsibility for the management, technical governance and commercial growth of the UKTC Hardware Scheme.

You will act as the scheme owner, ensuring its effective operation, continued development and technical integrity, while working closely with UKTC’s testing, technical and certification teams to ensure it is supported by robust technical evidence and meets the needs of industry.

In addition to the Hardware Scheme, you will take ownership of other certification and assurance schemes within UKTC Ensure as they are developed or assigned. You will work closely with the Director of Certification to develop new schemes and strengthen UKTC’s wider certification capability.

The role will also provide technical leadership and guidance across the Certification function, supporting the continued development of UKTC’s people, processes and schemes.
