Primary Purpose of this Position

To manage and execute the Company’s end-to-end supply chain and operational activities, ensuring timely customer order fulfilment, effective management of manufacturing partners, suppliers, inventory, logistics and service activities, and compliance with quality and regulatory requirements. The role combines managerial oversight with hands-on operational and technical involvement while driving cost efficiency, continuous improvement, product quality and supply chain resilience.

Main responsibilities and duties:

Supply Chain and Manufacturing Operations

  • Plan and schedule supply chain, contract manufacturing and internal manufacturing activities to ensure on-time delivery to customers.
  • Manage materials and capacity planning, including maintaining accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) based on approved product and engineering changes, reviewing requirements, and generating production and purchase orders to ensure sufficient materials, resources and production capacity to meet demand.
  • Manage external manufacturing and supply chain partners, including box-build/contract manufacturers, component suppliers and outsourced service providers, covering production schedules, material availability, delivery and quality requirements, commercial negotiations, supplier performance, audits and evaluation.
  • Assess supply chain risks and resilience, and recommend and implement appropriate mitigation measures.

Customer Order Fulfilment, Inventory and Logistics

  • Manage intercompany forecasts and orders, including monitoring forecasted demand against order placement and proactively following up on purchase orders that have not been received within the required lead time to support production and delivery planning.
  • Manage end-to-end customer order fulfilment, including quotations and pre-sales information, ERP customer records, purchase order processing, shipping dates and prices, order acknowledgements, monitoring open orders in alignment with production and supply chain capacity, and communicating delivery delays and recovery plans.
  • Manage inventory for finished goods and raw materials, including receiving, kitting, stock transactions, cycle counting and stock takes, and prepare monthly inventory reports for management.
  • Manage and carry out logistics and shipping activities, including packaging and dispatching goods from the Singapore location, arranging shipments from suppliers and other locations to customers, coordinating couriers and freight services, and managing shipping, customs, import and export documentation while optimising freight and duty charges.

Service, Calibration and Customer Support

  • Manage service, repair and calibration activities for warranty and non-warranty cases, including customer communication, Return Material Authorisations (RMAs), assessment of work required, service reports, quotations and tracking of RMA-related expenses.
  • Conduct or oversee failure analysis of returned products and provide feedback on abnormalities and failures to Manufacturing Engineering and R&D for investigation, resolution and continuous product improvement.
  • Maintain accurate and searchable records of customer issues, including cases where no product fault is found, and of all service, repair and calibration activities.
  • Analyse service and customer issue data and provide relevant reports to management to support continuous improvement and decision-making.

Performance, Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor supply chain and manufacturing costs and identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency and the Company’s cost of goods sold.
  • Collect, analyse and report sales and operational data, including sales forecasts, actual sales, forecast accuracy and key performance indicators such as on-time delivery, inventory levels and repair turnaround times, and prepare reports for management and business reviews.
  • Create, implement and maintain operational procedures and standardised process documentation to ensure products are manufactured in accordance with technical specifications and Company quality standards, and drive continuous improvement of operational and supply chain processes.

Engineering Collaboration, Quality & Compliance

  • Manage the flow and implementation of Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and related manufacturing documentation between R&D, Manufacturing Engineering and the supply chain.
  • Collaborate with R&D on the testing and evaluation of new products and to ensure new and existing products can be manufactured efficiently and cost-effectively.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering with quality investigations, supplier issues, work instructions and other manufacturing-related activities.
  • Maintain necessary records and ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, including safety, electromagnetic compatibility and environmental requirements, as well as relevant industry standards and internal policies.

Facilities and General Responsibilities

  • Manage facilities-related matters for the Singapore location.
  • Ensure all business activities are conducted in accordance with Company values, policies and codes of conduct.
  • Undertake any other activities as reasonably requested by management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in supply chain, manufacturing or operations within the electronics industry, with a proven track record in managing supply chain and operational activities.
  • Strong hands-on experience in supply chain and operations, with the ability and willingness to undertake both managerial and day-to-day operational responsibilities.
  • Experience managing contract manufacturers, suppliers and outsourced service providers.
  • Good technical understanding of electronic products and the ability to assess and oversee service-related activities.
  • Experience managing or supervising employees, with the ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and collaborate effectively with technical and cross-functional teams.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
