Role/s: 1 x EL2 Domain (Data) Architect

The EL2 Domain (Data) Architect (Labour Hire) provides strategic architectural leadership and direction across a defined business or technology domain. The role is responsible for developing and maintaining the domain architecture, target state and transition roadmap, ensuring technology investments and solutions align with organisational strategy, enterprise architecture principles and business priorities.

The EL2 Domain (Data) Architect (Labour Hire) works across programs, projects and multidisciplinary teams to provide authoritative architectural advice, guide solution design and ensure consistency and interoperability across the domain. The role identifies dependencies, opportunities for reuse and emerging architectural risks, and supports informed investment and technology decisions.

At the EL2 level, the role operates with a high degree of autonomy and influence, providing strategic advice to senior executives and governance forums and leading the resolution of complex architectural issues that span multiple systems, programs and organisational boundaries.

Key duties and responsibilities

Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

  • Develop, maintain and communicate the architecture, target state and strategic roadmap for a defined business or technology domain.
  • Provide authoritative architectural advice and technical leadership across programs, projects and initiatives operating within the domain.
  • Ensure solution architectures and technology investments align with enterprise architecture, domain strategy, security requirements and organisational priorities.
  • Lead architectural analysis of complex business and technology problems and develop strategic options, recommendations and transition approaches.
  • Establish and maintain domain-level architecture principles, patterns, standards and guardrails to promote consistency, interoperability and reuse.
  • Review and provide assurance over solution designs and architectural decisions, identifying cross-domain dependencies, risks, gaps and opportunities.
  • Work collaboratively with enterprise architects, solution architects, security architects, data engineering leaders, business stakeholders and delivery teams to ensure coherent end-to-end architecture.
  • Influence investment and prioritisation decisions by providing clear advice on architectural impacts, technical dependencies, risks, sequencing and longer-term implications.
  • Represent the domain at architecture and governance forums and support effective architectural decision-making and assurance.
  • Monitor emerging technologies, industry developments and organisational capability needs and assess their potential impact on the domain.
  • Lead the resolution of significant architectural issues and manage complex trade-offs between strategic direction, delivery priorities, risk, cost and technical constraints.
  • Build architectural capability by providing leadership, guidance and mentoring to architects and other technical specialists.

(NOTE: the key responsibilities of the role are based on current priorities and may change over time)

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
